How dumb are you, really? Dumb enough not to realize that this is a rhetorical question?

Too bad, other than the concussion I really liked what the kid brought to the field on game day.

could be the Bills reclaim him after week 4 if no one claims him of waivers.

He must've gotten arrested or something yesterday.

    Another failure in logic.

If Karlos is "Whaley's kind of player," then why the hell did Whaley just cut him?

    Riddle me that...

Maybe he decided that his future lie elsewhere. There was some high pick a few years back who left after a year. I can't recall his name - a linbacker, perhaps?

Backup RB's are a dime a dozen. I agree that no one may claim him.

And it's Whaley's fault that KW got himself cut and Ragland got injured? But again, who cares, if JW can replace him?

I would assume he went into Rex's office and ate all the M&Ms out of the jar and hence the cut.

Hard to know if this was a smart move without knowing the exact reason. I have to believe it's more than just his weight or weed issue. Otherwise this could very likely come back to bite them in the ass, unless they really feel J.Williams is a plug and play for him. Bush, Gillislee, Herron, Wilder...they are all niche or bench depth.

That's all bad, but is it bad enough to release him over? I didn't think so, or at least I assumed that he could work through those problems and the Bills would spot him some time based on his performance last year. But like you alluded to, there may be some things that we don't know about that contributed to the decision.

Also, we're still pretty stacked at RB. Somebody promising was going to have to go. I have a pretty good feeling about Gillislee and Jonathan Williams as backup or change of pace guys behind Shady. We got Bush for this year too, but I don't figure he'll actually rush the ball too often. Wilder Jr could make the team now, but I doubt it.
Even so you'd think we could have traded him for a depth player or at the very least a conditional draft pick. Just odd to cut him for no compensation.

    Was just reading this :

He showed up to spring organized team activities about 25 pounds overweight, forcing the team to hold him out of practice.

After that, he was hit with a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. When the Bills reported to training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford at the end of July, one league source told The Buffalo News Williams weighed in 5 pounds heavier than he was in the spring. Another source told The News that as training camp progressed, Williams was actually gaining weight, rather than coming back down to the team's assigned goal.

Sure hope he didn't get himself into the Purple Drank vibe. Makes you keep gaining weight.

So you are blaming the GM for an ACL injury suffered in training camp?

It would appear so, but you're the one wondering if a guy can bend over...although I'd prefer to call it a borderline humorous thought.

But the Gay thought should soon be released. He goes by the name of Jordan.

How many users actually post on this board? It seems as if the same 10 guys moan and groan in every thread about every personnel move this team makes. I haven't spent as much time on this board as I used to but sheesh it's gone down the drain!
