We're 8-1 when Tyrod throws for less than 215 yards.

We're not, though. We might be in the future, but not today.

How many times did Froggy clear his throat during the interview?

Tyrod sucks as a quarterback. Hopefully the Bills can find a good white pocket passing quarterback in the draft.

The color of the skin or ethnic background means nothing to me. All I want is a guy who can make anticipation throws, throw the whole field, can make quick decisions, and learns from mistakes.

That's an interesting stat, which I hadn't previously been aware of. To me, a stat like that says that this team is built to run the ball and win with defense. Okay, fine. Nothing wrong with being built like that.

But there will be times when the running game will be quiet. Times when the defense gives up more points than it should. When stuff like that happens, you need a good passing game. A much better passing game, in fact, than Tyrod seems able to provide.

If Ryan can mimic his defensive accomplishments with the Jets, the Bills should win some games here and there. If we can have more big days from Tyrod the RB, or from our other RBs, then that should also help get a few wins. But it's not like we're ever going to come close to matching the defensive accomplishments of the Ravens of 2000 or anything. And the better teams will find a way to contain our running game, much like the Ravens did in week 1. So at the end of the season, you're looking at maybe enough wins for the coaching staff and front office to hold onto their jobs for another year. Enough wins to spoil the Bills' draft position. Enough wins to create the false impression that the Bills are actually going somewhere, building something.

The Bills haven't been to the playoffs in almost 20 years. During that drought, they've organically obtained a top-5 pick only twice: once for Mike Williams, a second time for Dareus. (Sammy Watkins was also a top-5 pick. But that pick was acquired via trade, not by losing enough games to get a top-5 pick.) The Bills are once again pursuing a strategy which gives them an excellent chance of staying out of the top 5 picks on draft day, without giving them a realistic chance of winning a playoff game. Let alone the Super Bowl.
