Gag on that Coastal, Marner choked on it.

I bashed in marner hard last summer. I'll eat that crow
That 3rd is a prime example of why Byslma needs to go.

Well they got the W in regulation. I don't like Risto fighting- can afford to lose him for 5 mins. Foligno was a wrecking ball.
Toronto had 44 SOG. Certainly Lehner deserves the first star despite Eichel & Kane.
This team needs some defense.

Risto was worn out by 3rd
he can't do it alone.
its not just needing D... we have two lines of forwards basically.

No question there's a handful of guys carrying this team to wherever it's going.
You talk about team speed. The Leafs have it, but the Sabres were better last night.
The Sabres have two good centers (Eichel & O'Reilly), Kane, Okposo, and Reinhart. The 3rd & 4th lines have to be rebuilt (one has to have some willing to play in the back end).
The team seems to ebb and flow on how Lehner is playing that given night. I don't care what is save % is, I'm still not a fan. But, to his credit, he played well last night.
That Mitch Marner is a good player. That's the first I've seen him play.

Hos save percentage is .925
Disappointing they couldn't bury the duke in the second and third periods.

A big part of this team's problem is they go into a shell whenever they have any kind of lead. The whole system changes, and it leads to ridiculous shot disparities like in last night's game.
I can't stand Byslma hockey.
OpIv37 (02-12-2017)
They definitely went into a defensive shell last night once they got the lead. One fore-checker, if any at all, and when they got the puck out of the defensive zone, they seemed content to just dump it in without really trying for a rush (of course, a lot of that probably has to do with the fact that they were hemmed in their own zone so long that they needed a shift change when they finally got the puck back). I just don't get it, especially since Toronto is a team that gives up a lot of shots and struggles to get out of their own zone at times.
Vancouver and Colorado are must wins.
Ennis decides to make an appearance.
He needs to be a difference maker down the stretch... not an option.
Lehner allows 3 goals on 15 shots so far.
