    Beckham Melts Down Again

Odell Beckham had a career-low 23 receiving yards in the Giants' 24-10 loss to the Vikings. He also picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but believes he's being unfairly targeted.

Giants wideout Odell Beckham struggled in the Giants' 24-10 loss to the Vikings on Monday, racking up a career-low 23 yards on three receptions.

The star wide receiver also picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty following a verbal confrontation with Vikings corner Xavier Rhodes after he was hit out of bounds on a play. Although the penalty seemed justifiable, Beckham told reporters after the game he feels referees are holding him to a different standard compared to other players.

"You have to protect yourself at all times," Beckham told reporters after the loss. "I just gotta know where I'm at. I just gotta know that it's all against me.

"I have to assume that I'm always in the wrong no matter what. That's something that's a tough pill to swallow. You have to understand it, you have to be able to cope with it and just keep it moving."

Shortly after making these statements in the locker room, Beckham was seen by reporters talking to Giants general manager Jerry Reese.

Beckham's actions have become an alarming trend for Big Blue. He was fined $36,000 for a crackback block on Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro two weeks ago, his sixth fine in two-plus seasons. Giants coach Ben McAdoo said after last week's loss to the Redskins that the wideout "needs to control his emotions better and be less of a distraction to himself and his teammates." Additionally, Beckham said he was warned by refs to watch his behavior before the Week 3 matchup against rival Josh Norman and the Redskins.
This guy is mentally falling apart similar to how Stevie Johnson did when he started blaming God on Twitter for his dropsies.

He should've been tossed from that game. Immediately following the penalty, he mauled Rhodes after 5 yards, hands to the face, then went out of bounds and came back in and hit him.
They're against him because he's playing like an *******.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Nice for him to be playing for a big-market team like NYG. If he played for some other clubs (see Burfict in CIN), he'd face suspension.

If he didn't get tossed for trying to decapitate Josh Norman last year we wasn't going to get tossed last night. Beckham is showing himself to be a player who loves to dish it out but has trouble taking it back.

Was the 2x Personal Foul rule in place last year?

I don't believe so, and I can't recall if he ever got flagged on that play. I think he did, but I can't be certain.

That's why I thought he'd get tossed last night, he already had one. Although the Vikes pulled Rhodes out to cool him off. I dont know why. OBJ was about to snap.

                It's new this year.

Of course, the NFL in all their wisdom, includes celebration penalties in it.

So a player can get the boot for celebrating twice. Dumbasses

Every team that plays the Giants should tell their corners to play overly physical on OBJ.

Even if that draws them a couple illegal contact or holding penalties.

See if you can rattle him enough to take him off of his game, if not out of the game.

Worse than Johnson. Teams are playing him physical now and every week he has a new tantrum.

Johnson kind of erupted, Beckham is always simmering near a boil.

Yea because this is going to help him not be the focus of every opposing team, media member, and fans attention.

Beckham has a very large maturity issue and he clearly does not get it. Also the Giants do not have anybody on that roster who can take him under their wing and teach him how to control his emotions and control himself on the field. He needs a Ray Lewis like mentor badly.
