The hard reality is outside of Rasmus, the Leafs have a leg up in almost every single key area on the Sabres. The most important of those being the front office and coaching.

The Matthews/Marner/Nylander troika has surpassed my expectations.. The Islanders and Canucks look like fools for passing up on Nylander in the 2014 draft.. And will the Coyotes regret taking Strome instead of Marner... Reinhart I think has a point in his last 6 games so he has maybe turned the corner a bit...

Did you or did you not say "The Leafs are in the playoffs as of today?"

My reply was simple: Even if you MAKE the playoffs...which isn't a given...you're not even close to the Eastern Conference's elite. And right now, that consists of Washington, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Montreal and the Rangers. Good luck getting by ANY of them(even with it being the playoffs).

Consider me the bucket of cold water you desperately need to snap you back to reality.

News flash: It took Chicago and Los Angeles quite a while to rebuild THEIR teams after they went into the toilet.

Buffalo's likely going to be in the same boat. And...so is Toronto.
