    If it does end up being Childress, it'll be interesting to see if the next step is acquiring Foles.

      When Childress actually runs an offense, as opposed to holding Andy Reid's water bottle...his only success was based on having Brett Favre and AP in the same backfield.

      If Andy Reid is coming with him, I could see it..but since he isn't...

      He's in KC right now because he goes way back with Andy Reid, back to their NE Arizona St. Tech days.

        Thank you for getting out what I tried and failed to do in post #10.

            To me Foles is a good bridge/backup QB if we elect to take someone like Mahomes in Round 2 to develop with Cardale. I'd sign him to a two year deal.

                I want experience and the wide scheme/spread. Single back, multiple option, primary short and intermediate routes. If he will run that fine.

                  That's Kansas City's entire offense.

                    McCoy or bringing back Lynn were my first choices.

                    Since we're talking about lateral moves..

                    Tom Clements-GB;
                    Rob Chudzinski- Ind;
                    Ken Whisenhunt-LA Bolts.

                    Clements is the solid, sane choice.
                    Chudzinski has shown the ability to run either a run based offense (Caronlina) or a passed based offense (IND). And even though Carolina was a run based offense, Newton still threw for 400 yards. And damn..the guy had a top 10 offense with Derek Anderson.
                    Whisenhunt is a better OC than HC.

                    for the up and comer, off the grid choice, Sonny Crombie, TCU. Forget this past year, they lost nearly everyone on offense, either through leaving school or injury.

                    But if people want a fast paced, passing offense, he'll bring it. In his 1st year at TCU (2014), he improved their PPG by 20.

                      Ok. Maybe I am wrong. I would be willing to give the guy a chance (not that my opinion matters). A lot of his success came from having Brett Favre in 2009 - 2010. But not all. I remember the Vikings fans giving him a hassle.

                      The game, season, and franchise were lost due to the Brad Childress like behavior of the coach.

                        I mentioned Childress before, but I don't really much like how this is going. They're not going to fish for a young guy, imho.

                              I know waiting is a gamble, and some of these teams are in the playoffs, but why not look at some of the top offenses and hire a bright up and comer position coach? Atlanta, Dallas, Pittsburgh, NO, GB, etc. Heck, how about trying to steal someone away from NE? Why Brad Childress or/and anybody that's been in Jax? 🤢
