    A. Williams leaning towards returning in 2017

It's still not certain, but it's sounding a lot more likely than not that Aaron Williams plans to continue playing this season rather than retire due to neck injuries.

    From Mike Rodak:

The father of Bills safety Aaron Williams tweeted Sunday that his son is "coming back to be a part of the team" under new coach Sean McDermott. Anthony Williams later told the Associated Press his son is leaning toward returning in 2017 after neck injuries ended his 2015 and 2016 seasons. Aaron Williams said Jan. 2 that he would contemplate his playing future this offseason.

I don't think it's too smart and Whaley better not be fooled into ignoring safety again, because he's not going to last.

I appreciate his desire to come back but the two neck injuries he's had are nothing to overlook and I would be very hesitant to even clear him at this point.

He'll either pass the physical or he won't... It's his decision to try and pass it.

Well, technically speaking "to be a part of the team" isn't exclusive to playing.

    I hope not.

I like him, and he really should be a fan favorite. A really ****ty CB, that salvaged his career at safety, then developed into a really good safety.

He played tough and was never shy to throw his body around. But I don't like watching him play anymore, I'm too scared for him.

He is a waste of time. Can we move on from our plethora of annual injured players we resign year after year.

Morally and ethically I don't see how anyone could clear him ever to play again will full knowledge of what could happen. However Aaron is an adult, and he's free to choose to do whatever he wants. If that means to play football some more, so be it.

Re: A. Williams leaning towards returning in 2017

From a football standpoint, I'd love to have him back. He's by far the best S we have and guys with his skill level aren't easy to find.

From a "not being a ****ty person" standpoint, I don't want to see the guy jeopardizing his health and his future just so my football team can be slightly better.

I would still take one of the safeties in top 10 this year in the draft even if he is coming back.

Dude. Retire. It's not worth it. You are one hit away from being in a chair for the rest of your life.

...he missed 37 games in six seasons with injuries.
I didn't realize he had missed that many games. That's a lot of games!
