Hogan now holds the playoff receiving record for the Cheats, 9 for 180. Not sure because Simms wasn't exactly clear, but I think it's the yardage not the catches.

Woods , Goodwin etc are better receivers than we think they are. We just dont have the qb to show how good they are.

If Goodwin could stay more healthy then I'd agree.

Nah, Goodwin kind of sucks, Woods and Hogan showed you things. Goodwin would make some deep catches but he's got no intermediate game.

The sad part is they lost him to save $400-something K. They gave him the "original round" tender, and since he was an UDFA it didn't take any comp to sign him. for a little more, they could have tendered him at the 2nd-round level and nobody would have touched him.

NE will take Woods, because they're not stupid.

    Woods won't play for $4M/year.

    Selective outrage.

Hogan had similar numbers in the regular season in NE as he did here. He has one good game and everyone is all in an uproar.

Yep. Brady making another mediocre receiver look great. Who would've thought.

Hogan would not have blossomed here, he would have looked like he always did here, JAG. Yet a good bit of our fan base and maybe even our nit wit GM will be calling for us to use another first on a WR this year with no one to throw him the ball.

2 first rounders for a part time WR didn't help much.

    Re: Hogan is a monster

Hogan shines as the 4th or 5th read who is open after their elite QB pulls the coverage away from him with his eyes. All the Pats need to make a guy look great is someone who can find the hole in the zone and sit there until Brady finds them, then get some YAC.

    Re: Hogan is a monster

Makes you wonder how good some of our players are if they had a better QB. Still, no reason for the Bills to match that offer. He would never have done that with us and also, his regular season numbers were the same as they were last year with us.

GOod player though. Going to need those types when we finally get a QB.
The Things that unite us are far greater than the things that divide us. Just my 2 Cents.

Goodwin this year has improved . He's no Watkins, thats for sure.

I guess when it comes to our receivers , you can pretty much double their output if Brady was their QB.

    Re: Hogan is a monster

QB makes WRs (and OLs), that's not a secret. Wonder why the Steelers are known for wide receivers in recent years when Ben has been at the top of his games?

Steelers followed the same "cover when facing a top QB; blitz against a lesser QB" idea yesterday. But Brady was great. Move when he had to (and to the right places in the pocket). Stayed in when time allowed. Not always getting the Steelers coverage from the snap, but managed to find out subsequently.
