All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders are reportedly in contract discussions with former NFL quarterback Vince Young, according to Young’s agent Leigh Steinberg.
Steinberg, who announced on Wednesday he would represent Young during his football comeback, tweeted the news on Thursday afternoon:
According to player agent Leigh Steinberg, Vince Young and the Saskatchewan Roughriders are currently in contract negotiations.
Sounds like camp fodder, can he have anything left in the tank for a pass happy league?
Political correctness ( or cancel culture as it is called today) is a doctrine fostered by a delusional ,illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by MSM which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I'm glad I opened up the thread to read the op, because using 'Riders' in the title only narrowed it down to about eight teams.
We never had teams with the same name. One was the Roughriders the other was the Rough Riders.

Former Texas and NFL quarterback Vince Young is on his way to Regina to finalize a contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Rumours have it ,he is on his way to sign the papers. This should be interesting.

Just like pro basketball never had 2 teams with the same name in the ABA/NBA days. There were the Houston Rockets and the Denver Rockets. One team's name started with Houston & the other team's name started with Denver.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have officially inked a deal with two-time NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Vince Young, the team has announced.

Vinces issue was his talent. His arm strength was weak, he read the field horribly, and he got figured out
Russel had a better shot because imo he was an elite QB who didn't give a ****. Russels biggest issue was his drive, but if he put in the work and allowed himself to succeed, he would of been elite
Not here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions
An early read on the Vince Young signing and a significant addition for the Argos. Plus, the Bombers could use some more O-line help.
Saskatchewan’s signing of Vince Young last week was the buzz of the professional football world and for good reason. The Riders have brought in one of the biggest names in the sport over the last decade as Young tries to re-launch his career.
I’ll be honest; I don’t think it’s going to work out. But because there’s next to no risk here, why not take a shot if you’re Saskatchewan?
Risk assessment
Jamie Nye wrote a great piece last week that sums things up pretty nicely. Young’s signing is a Hail Mary of sorts, but one with very little risk accompanying it. As I said, I’m really not anticipating this to work out and usually I’d ask, “why even bother?” But in this case, with a player like Young, I’m kind of interested to see if I’m wrong.
So why am I so skeptical of a signing months before the first ball in training camp has ever been snapped? Well, in this case, I’m mixing in a steady dose of history with Young’s unique circumstances and the situation he’s walking into. Truth be told, I think he’s got a lot to conquer to make this CFL foray a successful one.

The two-a-day session was near its end and a thick, 25-degree celsius sun was doing its best to crisp skin, wearing heavy on the football players that had been running around under it for the last five hours. Vince Young sat at the sideline near an end zone at Historic Dodgertown, stretching out his six-foot-five […]

Riderville.com's Ian Hamilton reports from Riders camp where Vince Young is acclimating well to his new offensive system.

SASKATOON — Vince Young’s comeback with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders is on hold.
The length of the delay is now the biggest question.
The 34-year-old quarterback injured a hamstring during Tuesday’s practice at Griffiths Stadium on the University of Saskatchewan campus.
Young pulled down the football and scrambled for a first down during a double-barrel session, but then pulled up lame, walked off the field and sat down on the ground. He left shortly afterward, walking to the locker room with a member of the training staff.
Chris Jones, the Roughriders’ head coach and general manager, didn’t know the severity of Young’s injury immediately after practice. Jones also wasn’t sure what the injury would mean to Young’s availability for Saskatchewan’s pre-season opener, Saturday at Mosaic Stadium against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Young’s injury also could mean a return to the Roughriders for quarterback Jake Heaps, who attended the team’s mini-camp in Vero Beach, Fla.
Heaps was released by Saskatchewan after that April camp so that he could sign with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, but they cut him earlier this week. Jones confirmed the Roughriders have been in touch with Heaps’ representatives, but it’s unclear if the QB will rejoin the team.

If he can't play this week in preseason, then he is probably done.
