If true, thanks for 2016. Good luck.
LOL. And he got mad at his agent. LOLOLOLOLOL.
Does he want a bust in Canton too?
NFL players have a very short shelf life. I don't hate the man for trying to squeeze all he can in the limited time he has to make this money.
I came.
I saw.
I conquered.

Iirc, he's also never had any decent payday. Certainly not by NFL standards. While I think his 'demands' are over the top, I can't blame the guy for trying to secure his future, both within, and after, his NFL career.
He could be a decent 'fit' for the Bills, but by the sounds of it, not as an 'every down' backer, which means his value to us, is nowhere near what he's asking. He's also going to have to be an 'every down' backer, o get that sort of money.
Good luck to him.

I agree. Why do we try it make it sound like a bad thing if the guy is "chasing the paycheck instead of the ring"? If I were Zach Brown, played for 4-5 years for peanuts and suddenly had a breakout season, I'd want to leverage my only chance to cash in as well. 5 years from now when he's done with football, a ring isn't going to put food on his table; 6 mil a year is.
Go get the money Zach.
Holding out for $6mil and getting nothing when you could get $3 or $4mil isn't going to put food on the table either. It's a two way street, somebody has to be willing to pay you also, wanting to get paid isn't enough. I don't begrudge him wanting a payday at all and I'm sure he'll eventually latch on with somebody...maybe laying back and waiting until after the draft will be a wise move for him.
So is there a source somewhere?
I don't see it, he doesn't have the track record. He had 1 year of great production and 4 of replacement level. Evenbwith that the defense got gouged in the run game throughout the year.
He's in a tough apot because he's 28 and if he signs a 1 or 2 year deal he's not getting paid at 30.
I'd offer him a deal with an 8M signing bonus and guarantee his 4.5M salary this year, and 1.5M in year 2. I wouldn't pay more than 4.5M for 3 years. That's 14M guaranteed amd the team can get out in year 3 with a small cap hit.
Throw in some bonuses if he's a First Team All Pro and if the defense finishes in top 5 vs the run/PPG.
I'm guessing he wants 10M at signing and 4 years at 6M and he's just not worth that.
