    Success Before new Stadium

    http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/0...e-new-stadium/

It may be a wise move on the part of Buffalo Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula to wait until the team has some success before pitching a new stadium to overburdened tax payers in Western New York. The Buffalo News’ Vic Carucci who is attending the owners meeting in Phoenix this week reported on Monday that “according to a high-ranking NFL source, the league now believes that Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula are doing the right thing by taking their time before committing to a move from New Era Field.”

The issue is the ticket prices will double and most fans won't pay it

    The team sucks

Why in the hell do we need a new stadium? As just proven the population in this area continues to shrink and the old premise to build a shopping mall near the new stadium is outdated. The malls here will be closed within 7-10 years. Keep what we have and get a winning team!!

add a new train station to the mix of where the new stadium could go

think about it you board the train at Albany, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester and Depew you take it to either the Central Terminal or to Canal Side and you get off right at the front of the new stadium

If the stadium goes downtown, you could basically do that with a bus.

Notice Pegula stated last year he was in no hurry to talk about a new stadium.

Other people keep bringing it up but it's a non-issue for the next 5-6 years.

Half of you posters will have leaped from the bridge by then.

It's probably being g pushed by the league. Honestly a downtown stadium make sense for the One Buffalo rebuild downtown/waterfront that Pegulas been striving for. Of course it kill tailgating as we know it.

We don't need a new stadium. But we're the people who spend time on a football message board in ****ing March. Give us reasonable ticket prices, good sight lines and a nice replay board (and maybe short lines for the pisser) and we're happy.

But the new stadium isn't for us. The NFL and the Pegulas don't care about us. They had us sucked in years ago (decades in my case- not sure how old you are). The new stadiums are designed to sell luxury boxes to big corporations and attract casual fans and tourists who don't care enough about football alone to pay the price of admission. They need something flashy to appeal to them. They've long since squeezed every dime from the diehard types.

And yes, ticket prices will go up with a new stadium. If we're a 7-9 win team, no one is going to pay it. If we're an 11+ win team with a legit shot at the div every year, people will pay it.

Partially true, but not 100%. The new model is to squeeze out tailgating and force people into mini NFL amusement parks to spend huge coin on everything from full service restaurants to amusements and exclusive swag. Sure, the ticket prices will double, and they will sell PSL's but they also want to monopolize there game day experience. They want our money, but a lot more of it.

And then you get a Gillette situation, where the fans close to the action are the quiet wine and caviar types and the few die hards who can still afford tix are relegated to the nosebleeds

    Re: Success Before new Stadium

Build a Bills/Sabres shared stadium and have the Sabres play all of their home games outdoors.

    Problem solved.
