Anyone who has paid any attention to McDermott had to know the were going corner in the 1st. He coaches the secondary, played in the secondary as a player, madeJosh Norman an all pro, and we needed a corner. Taking white in the 1st is no shocker in the least; it's just not sexy. Additionally, he likes his line backers. If Cunningham is there, I think he's the pick. Zay Jones is another strong possibility.

Ah. I see. Saints @ 32. I had turned of the TV at that point. Could barely stay awake to the Bills pick. Too bad.

Thought they would stay at #10 and take a safety, but in general you're right. It was a position of need. They just reached where they were for that player.

I don't think there's a such thing as a reach, and hate that term. If you like the guy, he fits your scheme, and he's there you take him. A good press/ zone corner is exactly what Josh Norman is, and what McDermott utilizes.

White was rated from the mid 1st to the early 2nd round by some ex scouts, so we got him right about where he should have gone.

LOL @ all this Peteman love. It's like one person says it and every one else piles on. Like "it's ok to like this QB."

For anyone who watched him play in the Senior Bowl. He was awful. Don't want him. His ceiling is a poor man's Ryan Fitzpatrick. Not something to aspire to. He'll never, ever rise to be any better than that.

Absolutely was a reach. He would have 100% been there at there 2nd round pick. Drives me crazy them wasting that selection for a lesser player. They clearly had someone else targeted and didn't get him and had to settle for this player in this spot. It's bad GMing. Bills fans are just used to it.

He was the 8th to 10th best CB. He was NOT a first round. He was mid 2nd to mid 3rd pick.

I'll mail you a gift if that happens. That would be too good, IMO.

Unless you were willing to lend Sean McDermott your crystal ball last night, stop *****ing and making baseless assumptions.

And as for your 8th to 10 best corner point, people that have actually scouted for NFL teams and not trolled message boards to get their rocks off disagree. Guess who I'm trusting....

Did you seriously watch the same draft as I did and you feel like you can guarantee who would be around 17 picks later?

Beat me to it. DJ's ratings are always valued and were bookmarked for reference. An actual scout who worked in the NFL. Not some wannabe.

I'm a pretty big fan of his.

I always like to follow big boards instead of mock drafts. I feel like you get a better idea of a players true value instead of pegging a player somewhere for their fit. DJ, Bucky Brooke, and Greg Gabriel are three guys that I greatly value the opinion of because of their scouting experience.

It depends really. How far, and who is there when we pick?

For me personally, it's hard to get pissed off over a draft decision when you don't know how it will play out. However, I would have been a pretty pissed off Bears fan last night.

LOL. Who? Who is that expert? Never heard of him. But he supports your ideas so he must be good. Fact is this CB was the 8th to 10th best CB in this draft that is deep in secondary. It's a reach. And you don't sound too smart.

Here are some actually credible people.

    LOL. Yeah Ok.
    Are those Russian bot sites?

Thanks, but I'll pass. Give me the guy that spent years as a scout for the Ravens, Eagles, and Browns.
