To me, the 53 man roster is already pretty strict. Seems really tough to make a decision between taking up a full roster spot vs. putting them on IR and not letting them play the entire rest of the year. I like that they're essentially adding some in-between options.

This makes good sense! Why make the GM & HC play the part of a healing expert? Even the Dr's don't know how individuals will be able to recover from a serious injury over 14 or 15 weeks!!!
