    I remember Kate, the night shift cook/wage slave. She got robbed a few times. She understood our orders for a yellow burger with red and white. Meat barely cooked.

    The lack of responses would indicate to me that anybody else that might have didn't survive.

    I know of several survivors, but yes, there are dead.

    The place was a night hang-out for the outpatients at the psych center. We had names for them all. The urchin. The backwards-walking man. "That's delicious" -- the gigantically fat lady that loved everything served to her. Kuhnt wash. So many others...
