I thought we fired Rex? Unacceptable, some things never change.

MCD looks like he has this team in playoff form. He has more yards than his starting qb

MCD talks a good game about the penalties just like Wrecks. Results are the same so far. He has until the opener to get this bull **** fixed. I can live with not being talented enough. Watching stupidity game in and game out pisses me off!
Y'all know refs throw way more flags in preseason. It's partly the reason they are so unbearable to watch. Take a deep breath. It's just preseason.

It starts with 1....penalty and then 2 and then 3.....

Not last night.
Half of those penalties were on the starters.
Utterly shameful, and almost unwatchable.

Almost seems like some of the team hasn't taken to McDermot quite yet.
It's preseason. It's the same every year. The refs flag everything to get their flagging arms in shape. Duh
Not that I'm excusing the player's responsibility in any manner, but the league might as well just eliminate all kick and punt returns considering it's gotten pretty rare to see one without yellow hankies on the field.

McDermott reminds me WAY too much of Gus Bradley.
His rah-rah coaching style, the complete lack of discipline, the fact he's probably going to have a winning % right out of the gate...

McD talked about having teachers for Assist coaches. Looks like they are either teaching them the wrong things or the are not getting through to the players.
McD better hold players accountable. We need a perfect game to beat the pats . It'll be hard enough for this rookie HC to play chess with BB and now his players are shooting themselves o the foot.
Danny Crossman's ST unit has had history of penalties but he has always been able to fix it. I hope he fixes it. I know the refs were in stupid preseason form as well but the players are not blameless.
Thing is, it could have been worse still. There were a lot of plays where there were multiple penalties to one team. I think on one STs play, the Bills had 3 separate penalties. While from what I saw, the Zebras were very flag happy, it has to be a concern, due to how many were being called, all over the field.
From something McDermott said in a PC, I think he's got a fairly sensible approach to it, in respect of what can be acceptable i.e. 'competitive' penalties, as opposed to 'procedural' ones, which aren't acceptable, but he's yet to show that there's a fix going in for them.
