    Re: QB Watch Thread

    Week 4 Games to Watch:
    Mason Rudolph (18) v. Kenny Hill (18) - Oklahoma State v. TCU
    Logan Woodside (18) - Toldeo v. Miami
    Nick Shmonek (18) v. Kyle Allen (20) - Texas Tech v. Houston
    Nick Bolin (18) v. Tanner Lee (18) - Rutgers v. Nebraska
    Kurt Benkert (18) v. Brett Rypien (19) - Virginia v. Boise State
Taylor Lamb (18) v. John Wolford (18) - Appalachian State v. Wake Forest
    Josh Rosen (19) v. Keller Chryst (19) - UCLA v. Stanford
Nick Fitzgerald (19) - Mississippi State v. UGA
    Jake Browning (19) - Washington v. Colorado
Ryan Finley (19) - NC State v. FSU
Brandon Wimbush (20) - Notre Dame v. Michigan State

The biggest game of the weekend in terms of pure QB match up is UCLA v. Stanford. Rosen needs a more consistent game v. Stanford and Chryst needs to show that he's ready for the big time. Second place game is Oklahoma St. v. TCU, Rudolph will face his toughest defense to date in TCU.

Behind that there are three games I'm particularly interested in that feature only one QB prospect. Those are Toledo v. Miami, Miss St v. UGA, and NC State v. FSU. All three feature QB's who are either unknown (Woodside - Toledo) or who evaluators are still trying to figure out (Fitzgerald - Miss St; Finley - NC St). This creates a big opportunity for all three of these guys to establish themselves.

Who's settling ? To be polarized by a single QB you may not have a shot at isn't wise. Their may be 4-6 QB's selected in Round 1 and Mayfield is looking extra sharp right now. The settling comment was obviously in jest. Rudolph is obvious. Rosen looks good. Darnold may stay. Allen is a no for me. Mayfield plays in big games and plays well. I like.

Fair enough. I like Mayfield, I just don't like the averages that come with QB's his size.

Darnold sloppy again, throws 7th INT.

Rudolph also seeing some struggles for the first time this year.

    Darnold bounced back, Rudolph didn't.

Woodside had a fantastic game v. Miami. Huge statement game.

    Re: QB Watch Thread

I'm still not really sold on this probable QB class though there's time. It mostly looks the same as it always does since college broke from the pro yoke, which makes better college football and far iffier pro ball. Relative to development time and pain, though no one wants to hear it (not even me really), we might be looking for Peterman's future backup this year. I still don't see any "sell the farm guy" when we still need the farm. To me at least, at this point it looks like a "stand pat and load up" draft unless they're really in love with someone which at this point I'm not sure how they could be.

Won't bother me if they take a QB in normal order, but we have an awful lot of picks to add major talent without rolling big on anyone.

    Week 5 Games to Watch:
Mason Rudolph (18) v. Nick Shmonek (18) - Oklahoma State v. Texas Tech
    Luke Falk (18) v. Sam Darnold (20) - Washington State v. USC
Chris Streveler (18) - South Dakota v. Western Illinois
Hunter Wells (18) - Youngstown State v. South Dakota State
Mitch Kimble (18) - Eastern Illinois v. Tennessee State
    Nick Fitzgerald (19) v. Jarret Stidham (20) - Mississippi State v. Auburn
    Clayton Thorson (19) - Northwestern v. Wisconsin
Kelly Bryant (19) - Clemson v. Virginia Tech
    Kenny Hill (18) v. Will Grier (20) - TCU v. West Virginia

For me the top matchup is USC . Washington State, I also want to see Rudolph bounce back v. Texas Tech, Fitzgerald do the same v. Auburn, and can Bryant continue his magic v. Virginia Tech.

    Re: QB Watch Thread

Looking forward to hopefully seeing the USC/Washington State game tonight. I'm probably more interested in Falk because I don't see Darnold being in reach in any case.

    Re: QB Watch Thread

Darnold hasn't had a complete good game yet. Rosen played bad yesterday. Turn "potential" into consistent production. Flashes don't do it for me.

Too many " Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane " performances from the supposed top guys this year.

Mayfield and Rudolph look the best to me so far.

Rosen may be better off using his full eligibility. Darnold HAS to stay in at least another year...maybe two for him too.

I'm starting to consider getting on the Mayfield wagon for the draft...he 'looks' the part. Haven't seen enough of Rudolph yet.

I still go Rudolph as the clear top guy. After that the field is bit muddy.

    Ok and?

The OL doesn't excuse the bad decisions that both have made this season.

    It doesn't help them .......

Darnold still best prospect, Rosen, Rudolph, Allen, in that order.

    Falk doesn't have enough arm.

Give me Rudolph over all of them. Darnold and Rosen both need to stay in school.
