Ticats drop QB Colin Kaepernick from neg list

Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been removed from Hamilton’s negotiation list.

The 29-year-old was originally added back in March but Kaepernick’s camp made it clear to the Ticats that he would not be coming to the CFL anytime soon – if ever.

Kaepernick has played six seasons in the NFL and made headlines last year for not standing for the U.S. national anthem. He has been a free agent since opting out of his contract with the 49ers earlier this year.

From a monetary standpoint, there’s no need for Kaepernick to play football as he has earned more than $24 million during his NFL career.
The Ticats still have quarterbacks Johnny Manziel, who worked out for the club last week and has expressed an interest in coming to the CFL, and former NFLer Robert Griffin III on their neg list.
