Maybe Larkin doesn't have any hockey IQ. The two slashing penalties he took were ridiculous. I know it's a rule change and an adjustment for players, but we're 10 games into the season with the rule. If it were close maybe I could buy that. But this was an annihilation. Sabres make too many mistakes and fail to capitalize on offensive opportunities. Those are running themes so far this season that can't be blamed on back-to-back games.
Vancouver came into Buffalo having played the night before and beat the Sabres. That's just an excuse. They could of at least showed up and put in an effort.

I've watched about 20 minutes of this team so far. Scandella struck me as solid. O'Reilly struck me a ineffective. Okposo struck me as dried up. Lehner struck me as the worst starting Sabres goalie I can remember. Kane strikes me as fun to watch. Ristoleinin struck me as Tyler Myers bad. Your boy, Reinhart, looked to have taken two steps back. Pominville looked better than I expected.

No, there's not. Which is why I hope botterill doesn't trade away youth for older guys. Its important that the cup be the goal, not merely making the postseason.
