His Mysterious Ways
I got my August "Guideposts" magazine a few days ago, and just got time to read for a few minutes. In the section "His Mysterious Ways" the phrase 'Nebraska Sandhills' caught my eye, so I read the article. It was about a guy who was driving in the fog and had an accident, but crawled back into the cab of his pickup and waited for help. He left the door open so the dome light would stay on. When he woke up, he was in the hospital and his uncle was there. He told his uncle he left his dome light on so someone could see him through the fog. The uncle told him the battery had been knocked out by the crash and thrown 20 feet away.
Anyway, then I read who wrote the story. It was a guy I used to date!!!

that is freaky...not that the dome light was on but that you used to date him...I'll have to read that in Mrs. Eb guideposts...btw, did you know that there is a Guideposts on-line subscription?
I didn't know that, Eb. My sister renews my susbscription each year for Christmas.
Yeah, it WAS freaky that I used to date him. He's a very nice guy, but I wasn't ready to settle down just then.
Kicked myself a few times over that.

btw, how many in your home town??

My hometown has about 700 people in it. That guy, however, wasn't from my hometown. He was a college roommate of a guy I used to date, who made me mad...ummm, it's a long story. But, suffice it to say, I ended up dating Mike instead of Charlie.
He was actually from a different town.

Yeah. We lived 35 miles from town and went to high school there. Went to country school in the elementary grades.
YEESH, I guess that song by Bob Seger "Catmandu" where it says the East Coast has a lot of people must be true!!!
