Players looking for new ways to disrespect the ceremonies

We have millionaires complaining to billionaires, so do they want everyone to tune out the games ?? One ups-man ship for who can be the biggest douche team next week is hitting a new high. Maybe we can have Best disrespect of the flag awards or best way to ruin a paying customers day besides losing award. These spoiled-brats don’t get that we as fans don’t pay to watch their protests, we watch to escape our problems. They want to dump their problems on us, money not being their problem.

The Texans held a players meeting Saturday in Seattle to decide how to handle Sunday's pregame on the heels of owner Bob McNair's "inmates running the prison" comment, a source told ESPN.

He met with players and apologized. What happened to the days when we just accepted people's apology and moved on with life.

The world became hyper-sensitive. People have to apologize for everything now-a-days. Apologies are getting watered down.

Let them do it...but no one better complain about the fallout that follows, whatever that may be.

No one gets to tell hard working fans how it should play out. The game exists because we watch and buy tickets. Don't keep prodding the bear or you may lose more than you think.

I personally don’t care about the issue either way, the anthem takes a few minutes and then it’s over. What I am getting sick of though is not being able to get away from this topic!! I gotta hear about it from coworkers , family and friends and then come on here and read about it some more?!?! When is it going to die already?

Ideally, the issue would die when unarmed black men stop doing so at the hands of the men tasked with protecting and serving them.

They have used their profession to make their point heard. Now its time to stop that and reach out to their respective communities to work on the issues behind the scenes if they are truly committed to fix the problem. But many people would question how committed they truly are. At this point it's just a big publicity stunt that isn't helping anybody.

The ones who are actually protesting the same thing Kaep did (as opposed to those who are co-opting his methods to protest ignorant white billionaires) have reached out in myriad ways. Malcolm Jenkins, for example, has gone so far as to meet with Congressional leaders about criminal justice reform.

By all means, keep protesting, amp it up even. Just don't cry later when revenues go down and your salaries as a result.

They've gott put their money where their mouths (actions) are. For folks like that I have no particular issue. Moreover, the Trump lovers are using it to fuel their public racism, so they are to blame just as much.

Yeah. If you actually believe what you just wrote then you are immensely more stupid than you typically come across as.

Then tell these so-called "unarmed" black men to stop a) committing crimes, and more importantly b) acting like idiots when confronted by the police. To hear some people, it's like random black people are being shot by white policemen.

What crime did Tamir Rice commit? Eric Garner was not selling loosies when he was killed. Philando Castile was killed during a routine traffic stop. Anthony Lamar Smith had a gun planted in his vehicle- a gun that only had the offending officer's fingerprints on it- by a guy who was caught on tape saying "I'm going to kill this mother****er".

Since 2015, The Post has created a database cataloging every fatal shooting nationwide by a police officer in the line of duty.

Occasionally cops have to shoot people. Twice as many white people have been killed than black people, who only make up 23% of fatal police shootings. And an unbelievably small portion of those are against unarmed citizens. But don't let facts get in the way of your bull**** narrative.

Oh, well, since there's also twice as many white people in the country as black people I guess that's a totally fair ratio.
