Any one doing the IF diet?

    Intermittent fasting...

You are supposed to fast for 16 hours a day and only permitted to eat within an 8 hour window of your day... you are supposed to schedule the fasting portion within your scheduled sleeping hours...

    I have began today.

You are permitted a cup of coffee, or tea (unsweetened) in the morning to try to hold you over until your required fasting time is over...

Supposedly, this negates the need to count calories and successfully places your body into ketosis for a few hours a day - ketosisis a metabolic stage where your body actually burns fat for energy instead of the food you've recently consumed...

My fasting hours are 7 pm to 11 am.

I really hope this works for me. I need to fit in a tuxedo in the next 3 years for when I walk down the aisle with my queen.

    Will keep updating.

About the coffee/tea thing, I'm not sure I'd stevia fits the diet's guidelines or not...

Well, over the course of three years.....

Sounds like you're worried about nothing. Simple adjustments are all that's needed right now. But good on you for trying something and sticking to it

I'm doing my own version of the "If" diet.

If I work out more and eat less I'll lose weight.

And I'm dropping roughly a pound a day by simply skipping breakfast... I worked out yesterday though just for the sake of enhancing the results... I kinda enjoy being sore... it's feels like a clear conscience.

And the meals I have been eating are satisfying... in fact, I decided to have pizza hut lunch buffet for lunch one day and STILL woke up lighter the next day. This is truly working for me, and it is actually pretty easy. Today is a cheat day... sorta. Pizza and beer because of the bills making the playoffs.

Nope .... I can't do anything that "scheduled" ... that is hard to maintain longterm

I have a sporadic schedule and always on the go ... I just eat healthy and workout ..

    BOOM .. done

I'm doing some 8, 9, and 10 hour eating days. No weighing yet, but feeling it on the belt notch. Are you exercising?

I'm on a beer diet and it's working great. I slam a few handfuls of peanuts around noon and 6pm each day for balance.

Get my exercise by running the stairs to the bathroom between 45-55 times a day. Always feel great and no one has trouble hearing me.

IF is a lifestyle for many.

I forget why it doesn't work as well as a long term strategy with women but I believe it has something to do with hormones and blood sugar. Like women will lose weight but become unhealthier in other markers. Men don't seem to face the same pitfalls. ON AVERAGE

Losing more than 1 to 2 lbs a week is not considered healthy.
