    Hoka One One

It's been said that you can gauge the sophistication of a civilization based on the advancement of its shoes.

Holy cow I think we just took a step forward with these things. They have marshmallow amounts of cushioning and more so under the arch which gives it a rocker feel. My knees aren't great and I'm not a runner. My heel strike is too heavy. The Hokas have transformed how my knees feel after hikes and even walks and just standing. After a heel strike, the midfoot just seems to role to the fore foot with all that extra cushion under there. Easily the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. My knees can attest to that.

Here's the ones I have. They are a mid high waterproof one that is in there hiking lineup. They are lighter than they look and they always supreme me by how much evert time I pick them up.

Anybody else try them? They began as trail runners.

I run in speedgoats and challengers. Great shoes.
