Most mismanaged team in the NFL

The team for the past 14 years is founded in sub-standard practices. We hire lower rung coaches, keep people around even if there's a failure to reach simple goals & no accountability. It starts with complacency & is founded in the we get money in no matter how well the team does, all we need is a marketing guy to keep the stadium semi-full & let the fans party to drunkness.

I don't know about you guys but between the Sabres FO / too wealthy owner without brains & the Bills incompetence, Buffalo sports are absolute joke. I would say Cleveland at least has a decent basketball team, so that puts them ahead of us. We're a stain on the sports world, I'm ashamed to say I'm a fan.

Are you saying, GOD forbid, that "Buffalo is a city of losers"?

For a city that I think deserves a winner so much, there just seems to be some reason why it doesn't.

I could understand you saying at least Miami has a decent basketball team, but Cleveland?

Aren't the Cavs the team Lebron left?

Until that old senile ***** kicks it this is what it is. His cronies running the team an Brandon is just a caretaker. He's so full of crap it's coming out of his ears. The only reason he got this new gig is because he agreed to do their bidding. He's weak....

Sorry, but the Cleveland Browns take the cake. Just ask Mike Pettine. The people that signed him to a 5 year deal have already been fired.

    Weird.

Not being from Buffalo, all I read here is how great Buffalo is from the majority of posters who grew up there (and then of course most left).

What's sad about them is that they have a hell of a team, just can't get over the hump.

I can tell you why they want to come to Dallas, no clue why anyone in their right mind would want to live in Miami. We'll be more than happy to take Byrd off your hands :)

They are young men with a lot of money and want women to spend it on.

I guess if you want an STD, Miami is a great place to live.

I don't know about Miami's weather today but it's 80 in SW FL, low humidity as well.

The one with the smarmy 10+ year coach who is closing in on Jim Mora's record with the longest tenure with a losing record, who has lost 5 1st round playoff games, who tolerated a Bartkowski and Gruden launching 40 to 50 passes in those games, an owner whose motto is "never complain, never explain."

In a county that lets repeat violent offenders walk back on the streets daily, because the county can't build jail space because of the stadium debt?

    Yeah, that's the team...

Erie County will be facing that same decision in the next 5-7 years.

Re: Most mismanaged team in the NFL

An NFL team and their host city have a lot in common.

The Dallas Cowboys are a representation of a particular region in Texas.

Every NFL team is a representation of the city that accompanies their name.

Buffalo's not the most mismanaged city in America.

Detroit wins the gold medal in that contest, but we could win the silver or bronze.

    Detroit, Buffalo, Cleveland...

Buffalo is a city that refuses to change, even after 60 years of insanity (electing democrats).

People are stuck on stupid, politically in Buffalo.

It's 1985 on repeat and people keep playing the same songs, over and over and over again, constantly trying to relive the past.

Get over it! Move on! Stop acting like Michael Keaton and George Wendt in, "Gung Ho!"

At least the Bills have tried to change. They drafted Todd Collins, signed Rob Johnson, signed Flutie, traded a 1st rounder to sign Bledsoe, traded up to draft JP Losman (ouch), signed big name free agents like Takeo Spikes, spent big money on offensive lineman in free agency, fired 5 coaches since Marv Levy retired, and have invested 4 first round draft picks in running backs since Thurman Thomas retired.

The Bills have at least taken big chances to get better. Didn't work, but at least they tried.

It's not like they didn't attempt to do anything at all for over 10 years like the Sabres did.

Ralph's not cheap, but a lot of people in Buffalo are because they're stuck in the past and refuse to change.

There's a reason why Ralph built the stadium in Orchard Park.

He wanted nothing to do with the politics in Buffalo because the politics in Buffalo are bad for business.

If Ralph Wilson, Jr. decided to build a new stadium in downtown Buffalo back in the late 1970's, I don't think the Bills would exist today.

    Enjoy your swamp ass.

I'll go shovel my driveway for excercise, come back in, light up a huge fire in the chimney, start cooking dinner, turn on the tube and relax in the cozy comfort of my nice warm home and not have to worry about cockroaches crawling on my bedroom walls, or into my bedroom drawers.

I can care less how freaking warm it is outside, I hate the heat, and I hate cockroaches more than I hate Satan.

So you go enjoy those cockroaches, and I'll go enjoy a huge breath of fresh Arctic air.

I hate taxes, but I don't hate them enough to move to Florida.

I would rather pay $5,000 per year in property taxes than live in a State where I know I'm going to have to live with cockroaches in my home, and sweat like a pig every time I walk outside.

On a beautiful 60 degree sunny day in Miami, the Dolphins stadium is half empty even if their team is good.

On a beatiful 60 degree sunny day in Buffalo, the Ralph is packed no matter how bad the Bills suck.
