    Kaepernick

Redskins getting some pressure from fans now that Colt McCoy has also broken his leg.

    https://www.hogshaven.com/2018/12/4/...back-situation

Mark Sanchez, TJ Yates, EJ Manuel or Kaepernick. Some stories starting to show up where folks are supporting the idea of the Redskins signing Kaepernick. I say no way Dan Snyder does it.
    Welcome to Buffalo Carter Hutton.

    Re: Kaepernick

He can’t do it. It would be a PR nightmare.

Look I’m not saying that I agree with making it a PR decision, but think about it realistically. While DC is a majority black and generally very liberal city, there’s also a ton of military there. And the Redskins draw a lot of fans from rural parts of MD and VA where people are more conservative.

You’d get half the fan base upset for hiring the America-hater who disrespects the troops, and the other half accusing that half of being racists who don’t care about the plight of black people.

I wish someone would take a stand and sign the guy, especially since there are a lot of worse QB’s with jobs right now. But there’s no way to de-politicize it at the point, and controversy is bad for business.

School: University of Wyoming / Height: Mucho Grande / Stats are for losers
Pros: Josh Allen is one of the best prospects in recent years. His arm strength makes Superman cry like the baby he is. He would be the perfect fit in a place like Buffalo where it has never once stopped snowing or had winds under 30 mph (according to the national media).
Cons: Josh Allen is one of the worst prospects in recent years. If you were unaware, his accuracy is really bad. He also suffers from poor decision making which is reflected in his haircut.
Pro Comparison: Josh Allen is equivalent to playing your drunk friend in Madden. One play, he lofts a screen pass over the running back's head out of bounds. The next play he throws a perfect 50 yard pass into triple coverage with one eye open asking "which team am I".

He kind of has to maintain that perception with pending legal action over collusion though, doesn't he?

If course playing for a team with a bigoted name isn’t a good place to protest racial inequality

He's not going to take a low paying back up QB job that would jeopardize his lawsuit.

    Re: Kaepernick

I still find it rediculous that the redskins are in a state that has a very low amount of native americans, and is home to most of the united states biggest social justice/ historic places. When our ancestors killed all of the native americans, and then the state that represents the US, named their football team a racial slur

This is the same thing as if there was a alabama blackface team
Please excuse my dumb and pointless topics and posts, i more than likely will not be sober for any of them

The name doesn’t surprise me because times change. There was a time when blackface was socially acceptable. Black people used to be “negroes” and Asians were “Oriental” and the little people were “midgets.” But society finally realized those things were offensive and moved on from those terms (well, most of us anyway).

What does surprise me is that they haven’t changed it after this much time.

I have to wonder if the Ravens has something to do with it. It’s essentially a 2 team market now, and a lot of people younger than 30 or so in the DC area are Ravens fans because they only remember the Ravens being good and the Redskis being bad. I suspect there are a lot of Redskins fans who could use it as an excuse. “I can’t believe those pussies changed the name! If I gotta buy all new gear anyway, I’m gonna do it for a team that wins! Go Ravens!”

Also Kap was ****ty as hell when he got blackmailed. Yes you can say he deserves a position more than other players but towards the end he looked like a strong armed Tebow. He was pretty close to being out of the nfl before the protest

This is true. However, Derek Anderson, Matt Sanchez and Josh Johnson have jobs. Do you really think Kaep is worse than them?

Kap made himself toxic. And now he has to live with it. Why would anybody put the team thru the media nightmare that comes with him.

Op, no question hes better. But hes not so much better that the distraction wouldnt out way it. This is not much different than Tebow. Teams didnt want to take him because of the media circus, and like Kaep, he never did anything wrong
