My prediction on NYG QB of the future

I've though all along that the Giants would be taking Daniel Jones as their QB of the future, not Dwayne Haskins as a lot of mock drafters were predicting. The problem was I couldn't see them using the 6th pick of the draft on Jones. Now with picks 6 & 17, it makes perfect sense for the Giants to either go BPA at 6, most likely a defensive player, trade it down for a ransom if someone wants Haskins & either way take Jones at 17.

Albany, I've watched a lot of Haskin's play for the obvious geographical reasons. He played in a pro offense scheme, and his numbers are big. Gints should draft him. Even if he turns out to be a bust what does it matter to the fans? They root for the Gints no matter what, and the Giants have "forever" waiting lists for tix.

    It's like the Cubs.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Giants tab Jones. Another interesting facet of the upcoming draft for sure. The Giant fans are impatient to resume their success. So the pressure is on Dave Gettleman. He's already getting little jabs dropped on him by local radio host, and Bill Parcells friend, Mike Francesa over the radio waves: Francesa: Gettleman Doesn't Know What He's Doing - listen to this radio piece. Wow.

Even though they felt heat from other teams and took him at 6, I'm still saying-CALLED IT.

Jones looking pretty good so far.

Daniel Jones outplayed Eli Manning in the New York Giants' minicamp. It was obvious, and it wasn't really close.

Through three days of full-squad sessions, the sixth overall pick in April's draft looked like a better quarterback than Manning. He wasn't just more athletic (that's to be expected); he was also sharper, more accurate and more willing and able to challenge the defense with difficult downfield throws.
