I was for murray. He flamed out. I was for Botterill. He was bad.
I was good with bylsma, bad choice. I was apprehensive about housley. Bad choice. I was excited about Kruger after reading about players rave about him, he has been the worst.
I was excited about their ownership for a while, but a decade of futility has gotten us here

There's a ton that went wrong and almost all of it is on the Pegulas.

The rangers have done great through the rebuild. I'm jealous. They need a few more pieces but they are much more advanced
Jack is the teams Captain, They pay him $10 million, His body language speaks volumes.
Skating around like you have Mono and rather be somewhere else is a bad example to the rest of the team.
So yes, Jack bares some responsibility for the mess.
The Pegula's have done a poor job with their hires.
They hire first time general managers, And they micro manage them.
The did the same thing with the Buffalo Bills.
It all turned around for the Bills when they hired a veteran GM who built the Carolina Panthers.

I'm really starting to think the Sabres are better off just keeping Jack.
They won't get the return they want, And certainly not during the COVID NHL.
Sabres need to bite the bullet and just buy out Jeff Skinner.

I'm fine with them keeping jack if the return isn't there. I've always felt that way. They have a five year guarantee if they can't find a good return. Its a nice insurance policy that they don't HAVE to trade for one of the games premier players
