    LOL@ The Jests

They fire their GM and make Gase the intern GM. LOL

This should be a fun season watching that organization implode, again.

How long does it typically take for an NFL team to find a new GM?

Gase was a bad hire to begin with.

    Double down. That's a savvy move !

Is Mr. Pink the one to bring me down ? Is Peterman on an NFL roster in 2019 ? What avatar do I choose for Mr. Pink ? Stay tuned, it's hugely !

Well the Steelers have to be feeling pretty good about themselves after seeing what Bell and his contract have done in New York. I hope Bell is happy and got what he wanted, getting to play for a 4 win team.

First order of business for Gase is to trade former 1st round pick Darron Lee to the Chiefs for a 6th. They were better off keeping him as a backup/ST player.

Some high priced FA's recently signed ... headed by RB Bell... will soon meet a coach who reportedly didn't want them. The seed of distrust has already been planted.

Gase wasn't a serious candidate for any other HC job. Now he's making all the decisions ? Incredible.

Respect will be extremely hard to earn in that locker room. Toxic.

Just curious, and I honestly don't know the answer to this question but... Did they have any other choice? Who else was an option for their "acting GM"?

Teams have gone longer than an hour without a GM. I'm sure it didn't need to happen instantly considering most of the GMing is done at this point and the roster is pretty much set.

As a Bills fan, could you accept that offer of employment to be the Jets GM?

I would only to try to cause more chaos... and trade jets players who are worth a damn to the bills for peanuts...

I only spent a few mins researching the concept just now -- so I might very well be wrong -- but it appears that if a team fires their GM, then the HC is basically acting GM unofficially even if the team doesn't announce it officially. So that's gonna happen either way (?) if a team fires their head coach; it's just a matter of announcing it officially or just letting it be an unofficial/informal situation for the HC to be acting GM?
