    Re: Democratic Debate Thread

Inslee going after the union vote by saying they are part of the answer to end incoming inequality then he pivots to climate/energy.

Note to Gabbard, that's how you do a successful pivot.

Warren is going to keep on hammering giant corporations and she should because nobody else on the stage with her tonight is out there on it. Very good answer here on industrial plans.

Delaney talks about living wage referencing doubled earned income tax credit and paid family leave but doesn't really talk about how that is supposed to equate to a living wage which is his claim.
Tim Ryan has a major problem if he wants to continue this, his message is pretty good and if I were listening on the radio he would be powerful. His problem is he took makeup tips from Dick Nixon. I like the NYC mayor and the Washington governor the most so far followed by Warren and all three are winning the battle of the soundbytes

    Re: Democratic Debate Thread

Warren and De Blasio raise their hands to abolish private insurance, don't think that will get a lot of attention but it should. Bad moderation to not follow-up.

    Klobuchar plays the middle again...

Warren without hesitation says she's "with Bernie on Medicare for all".

    I see a Sanders e-mail/ad coming.

well this is not moderation, but show. As for Tulsi, well she knows this is a dog and pony show and they will seek to ignore her. This election, imvho, is more her testing the waters

    Re: Democratic Debate Thread

I have no idea what Beto was trying to say, because he talked himself out of time again. Gets direct on a follow-up and gets attacked hard by De Blasio on his unwillingness to remove private insurance.

    - - - Updated - - -

Delaney comes to Beto's defense on keeping private insurance.

    Re: Democratic Debate Thread

Delaney is giving a really good critique of the healthcare issue, much more depth that Klobuchar despite a similar position.

    Re: Democratic Debate Thread

Gabbard gets a crack at healthcare and endorses medicare for all kinda, not buying into the private insurance removal though.

Her first half was good, her second half was walking it back a bit. Her delivery is really bad thus far, clearly nervous.

Booker calls for immediate action, but doesn't say what that is supposed to mean.

    Re: Democratic Debate Thread

Inslee with an odd answer of trying to look both progressive and pragmatic but it is really just confusing.

Klobuchar comes out and hits him for his right to choose comment.

The Range Debate. Mr. Jackass, how much does the Wehrmacht cost the American tax payer?

Castro getting an interesting moment here to talk exclusively about abortion rights and he's not squandering it. He's had a good night thus far.

    - - - Updated - - -

Warren dominating questions/speaking opps early, this is her 6th time talking, next closest has three (Beto and Klobuchar and Booker).

Booker says that Pharma companies are liable for opiod issues. This is an issue thats close to Booker so his answer is very good.
