    100 Years Ago Today

    My father was born.

    Toronto hospital. My grandfather was the national ticket mgr. of Canadian National Railroad. Moved to Pittsburgh, then Buffalo as a 13 year old. WW II Staff Sargent. Army Rangers. Fought in Guadalcanal.

    Tougher than a nickel steak. I just described many dads and granddads here from the greatest generation. Would give you the shirt off his back. Gone 24 years.

    Do me a favor and raise a glass to a good guy. Thanks.
