Peace Bridge or Rainbow Bridge for a trip to see the Falls?

I'll be in NY next week for a 10 day visit and want to take my wife to the Falls. Is it easier/faster to take one bridge over the other to get into Canada? Just want to avoid an hours long wait in line if possible. We would be crossing over on Tuesday and coming back on Wednesday if it makes any difference.

I've mostly used the Peace Bridge when going over and haven't had any wait-times I would consider excessive. There have been reports on the news recently, however, that they are a little longer right now because of some shuffling of personnel.

It’s been a while but I’d say Peace Bridge. The Rainbow Bridge was always a nightmare during tourist season.

We used to use the Whirlpool Bridge but I think they made that for locals only.
