I agree but say let's get as many games as possible this season out of him and hope for the best...

One more concussion and yes, just hang it up, but at least we got a few snaps for all those millions.

Mitch Morse snapping to QBs to start the individual session of practice today. Another good step in his return.

We shall see. I still believe that they will play him this Friday for a series. Felt that was the plan all along.

I could see them keeping him out until the opener. Give him as much time as possible before the real season starts.

This is Stage 5 of protocol.

"Full football activity, full clearance. The player resumes practicing with the team, with no limitations."

Morse's final hurdle now is to be cleared by independent neurological consultant.

Chances are good he'll be available for opener. #Bills https://twitter.com/MattParrino/status/1163855990833516546 …

Mitch Morse is STILL in the protocol.

I'm not sure about that - they may had gone to Paradis who is a much better run blocker and stout.

What I think Morse is most valuable is to assist Allen on recognize and adjust to blitz on passing downs. On offense, I see that being the biggest challenge to the Bills, starting from Game 1. 4 new starters on O-line, a couple of new receivers, and Allen being a 2nd year guy. If I'm the D coordinator, I'll force them to make a quick, correct decision when I bring various blitz packages, and my bet is something is going to break down.

Protections break down every game, for every oline, regardless of how good they are. Just like all QB's will have a bad pass or two.

Re: Mitch Morse in Concussion Protocol

My guess is the Bills will find out where that league neurologist has been hiding out and get Morse cleared before the game, but that Morse will not play a single snap in the last two games of preseason.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

He's been in stage 4 for over a week and just shed the red non-contact jersey. He'll be in the opening day lineup for sure.

Yeah, I mean missing near 3 weeks after getting concussed in the first practice in pads doesn't bode well for game action. That said, had he not been concussed it was the best move at center they could have made at the time. You sort of wonder how many concussions will make him hang up the cleats or be advised to.

Even if he goes down again and realizes his playing days are numbered, he still might be of value to helping another learn.
