Re: Premier League Returns 19/20 Season

I am a ManCity fan and watching in Canada is going to be difficult this year.

The EPL, Serie A and Champions League exclusive rights in Canada has been purchased by DAZN a bloody streamer.

So despite having 5 smart TVs all over 50" in size, I have to watch it on my 17" MacPro until I figure out the apps for the TVs.

I am on a free one month trial but it cost $150/yr for DAZN.

I pay over $150/mth for satellite TV that more and more I am coming to the conclusion gives me not much more than crap TV and less and less of what I want.

This is the way it is going and I'm not happy that my satellite TV costs more and more for less and less.

Eventually the cord cutters will make it so cable and satellite companies go belly up and we will all need to subscribe to a multitude streaming companies for what was once all in one place.

No more flicking channels to watch more than one thing at a time.

As a cord cutter for more than 4 years, the one thing that pisses me off is all the different subscription services. We have Playstation Vue, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and ESPN+. My hope was that one day you'd be able to setup an a la carte style package where you can pick your own channels and services and pay one fee. I don't see that happening anytime soon though.

I would imagine it should be pretty easy to find a way to mirror your laptop to one of your tv's, hopefully you're able to figure it out.

DAZN has all the NFL games and red zone. It is worth it for that on top of the other content like Soccer, tennis and Belator MMA.

I loosely follow Aston Villa. Super pumped that they are back up with the big boys!!

Are you saying that CTV and TSN no longer have NFL games?

That will mean I can't even get Bills games from CTV Toronto.

I will figure it out but I can't say getting various streaming services is an improvement to my viewing experience over a simple cable or satellite service.

It seems to me that streaming is geared to mobility and small screens.

Why in the **** do I want to watch sports anywhere but in man cave on a very large screen?

No you should still get your CTV games but those of us outside Ontario region don't have that option. I also remember them co-opting the Bills games for more competitive AFC games towards the end of the year too when I did pay for the Ontario CTV package. All of the gamepass functionality was just switched to DAZN in Canada so all of your replays, red zone and NFLN.

You can get these apps on virtually every device such as smart tv's or whatnot. If you don't have a smart tv, a used game console will do most things a smart tv will do.

TSN, CTV and CTV Two are Canada's home for football on television, and the exclusive broadcast partner of the NFL in Canada. Check out our broadcast schedule below for this season's slate of games, and come back regularly for updated broadcast information. The NFL Lives Here.

DAZN has Game Pass and nothing else NFL wise in Canada thus far.

No idea, I find it useful to watch multiple things at once.

For example last weekend I watched the Villa game at the same time as Lille played in Ligue 1 and also had the news on using the same stream service on three different devices. I could split screen them on my main TV, but then what would be the point of buying a bigger TV just to make it into smaller screen.

Got the Firestick working in the bedroom.

Going to get two more for the ManCave and Living Room.

    Works great so far.

    Watching the test cricket now.

Not really true. You get Red zone, NFLN, and on demand shows like total access, GMFB, top 100's etc.

Villa holding just above the relegation line. Need to stay up this year to improve the squad.

    3-0 ManCity after 12 minutes.

They are pissed off about last week's loss.
