    Josh Allen

Is going to be really good.

    Any questions?

Not from me. We always figure things will go bad, but like imagine if they go good. I'm fine with daydreaming this is where we actually did something right. I like Allen. I get cranky about how they got here, but if this works. hey, no better time. Things I like most about him.....he doesn't think he has the top of his game figured out yet, and he always thinks he has work to do to get there. You don't see practical humility in a lot of the supposed studs coming out of college. Oh I want him to shred people.

It's a good time to figure this is where things finally go right again in an epic way. Keep it coming.
I lost a bet with Pink and all I got was this dumb avatar that I've had awhile anyway.

    Re: Josh Allen

So many things to be bullish on Allen about. Nearly the complete package. Arm strength, athleticism, intelligence, hunger for coaching, leadership, desire to win, the love of being in Buffalo... Etc.

Except one thing for me... His passing. Sure he has the ability to find the open man, but I don't find any of the passes to Beasley all to pleasing. Not too impressed with the curls. And then he hits a couple of nice passes to Sweeney, and I'm hooked on the future again.

    Re: Josh Allen

Hard to argue Allen didn't look much better last night.

He threw the pass too low to Shady and one other incompletion where he threw it away when being pursued on the sideline.

When the pocket broke down it was typically after he progressed through his reads and no WR was open. He tried to escape and lost a yard or two.

    No deep passes were attempted.

Spain had a bad game however I am eager to see how he looks like with Morse on his right rather than a back up centre.

The starting OL hasn't done a good job in run blocking the first two games however they haven't been called to do very much there and have done an excellent job in pass protection.

Back to Allen, I assume he will be playing the whole first half against the Lions and it would be good to take a couple shots down field or at least some 15-20 yard intermediate stuff.

Yeah hopefully Morse can catch Spain when he is thrown out of the club again.

This patch work of an OL has held up so far but they really haven’t seen elite pressure yet.

    Re: Josh Allen

I agree spiked. The OL has not done a good job at all in run blocking. Not for any of our backs IMO. They have, however, been a significant improvement on the pass pro level.

And yeah for sure there were at least three throws last night where if Allen placed the ball better the WR would have been able to get YAC or, in another few cases, make an easier catch.

Still. The guy has so much to like and i think Mace pretty much nailed all the good things in his post.

    What Mace said.

Bills are 2 deep at QB for the first time in ages.

Getting more and more excited to see this team, and Allen obviously, in the regular season.

He's a smart kid to go along with his physical skills.

Progress not perfection.... It's starting to look like I was wrong about him and I hope that continues.

I think the o-line's problem so far is they don't have their anchor in the middle. With Morse, both guards will settle into their assignments, and then so the tackles.

I see Allen as a player that will get better every year. Hes still raw.........Im thinking anywhere from his 4th-5th year hell be a finished product and will be elite.

They might need to get used to not having Morse though.

The other Josh is being beaten soundly by 36 year old journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick for the teal boys' starting job.

No way Rosen would have survived here without an o-line and receivers. He runs like Festus.

Then the Bills entire offense could be in for a rough ride. It's what we all fear.
