Sabres can move up as high as 3rd. They have a 4.2% chance to do that.

The saltiness by a LOT of people who watched the Draft Lottery is SO amusing to see...they think it was a CONSPIRACY! for Chicago to win.

I ain't got time for that garbage.

Hell, I'd bet a lot of 'em never watched an NHL game in their LIVES.

Well the small market Blue Jackets have some justification in feeling like the big market team was given this gift with a big red bow wrapped around it.

Glad the Sabres are in front of the Penguins.

Arizona failing to win is great. I know their odds weren't astronomical or anything but LOL

Glad bedard is staying out West

Don't forget, 13OA isn't a bad slot. This draft is expected to be of 2003 caliber. Most years, 13 is a crap shoot at best.

Looking at the media "experts" and some of their mock drafts, the Sabres could walk away with the best or 2nd best defenseman at that #13 spot. The first 12 picks are predicted to be forwards by most.

Yeah, I saw that too. But defenseman always seem to go higher than anticipated.

The good news is the Sabres will have good players available at that spot. Do your homework Mr. Adams.

He did a good job there. Shanahan even said so. Wasn't his fault, the early bow out.

In a statement released by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Brendan Shanahan, President and Alternate Governor said:

“I would like to thank Kyle for his unwavering dedication over these last nine seasons with the organization, including his last five as General Manager. Kyle fostered a great culture within our dressing room and staff, and consistently pushed to make our team better season over season. We wish Kyle and his family the best moving forward and thank him for his valuable contributions.”

The Maple Leafs also announced that Shanahan will be holding a press cofnerence at 3 pm on Friday afternoon.

Dubas spent the last five seasons as the Maple Leafs general manager. The best result came this year when the Maple Leafs made it to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs before losing to the Florida Panthers in five games.

During that time he signed John Tavares, signed Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and Morgan Reilly to new deals.

Had his best trade deadline as a general manager as he went all in acquiring Ryan O’Reilly, Noel Acciari, Jake McCabe, Sam Lafferty, Luke Schenn, and Erik Gustafsson.

But again, the Maple Leafs came up short.
