We barely HAVE fans as it is. Those that are around are flat-out bent at how pathetically the team's been run. First, you tank to get Eichel....then you tank AGAIN and get Dahlin. Trust me, if Jack goes the Sabres are going to be dropping WAY down the list of who Buffalo sports fans care about.

The Sabres have been a poorly run franchise the last 12 years there's no doubt about that. And their drafts have been brutal outside of picking in the top #2.

Ironically moving on from the guy they deliberately tanked for would go a long way towards fixing the team.

Eichel will just age out as a Sabre, Its best for the franchises long term health to move on and recoup assets.

The Sabres are losing money as it is thats why they implemented an internal salary cap and constantly change their jerseys.

They also have a few terrible contracts like Okposo and Skinner that handcuff the team.

I kinda feel bad for you guys, The Sabres have ownership that doesn't believe in "Hockey People" and it shows on the ice.

The Sabres wont be in contention for a playoff spot as currently constructed. And Eichel will force a move.

always hoped the Sabres would hold onto and develop Mark Pysyk. And now I hope he finds his way back next year.

I'd rather have Girgenson - and it's not even close.

Pysyk played both forward and defenseman last season for the Panthers, but has primarily played defense during his eight-year NHL career between Buffalo and Florida. Pysyk, who is right-handed, could be a fourth-line right wing or a third-pairing defenseman. While he could play forward at even strength, Pysyk can still play defense on the penalty kill.

“Mark is a solid, puck-moving defenseman and gives us another right-handed shot on the backend,” Stars GM Jim Nill said in a statement. “We feel that his skillset lends itself to how we ask our defensemen to activate and he will be a good fit.”

Last year, Pysyk had nine goals and nine assists in 58 games while averaging 12:45 of ice time per game. The highlight of Pysyk’s season came in Toronto in February, where he scored his first career hat trick.

A stick tap, if you please, for Mike Emrick. The main PBP man for NBC's NHL and other hockey coverage hangs up the microphone after well over 4 decades of calling hockey.

We have fans. Our TV ratings per population % is the highest in the league. Just because many refuse to throw their $ away on tickets isn't the right measuring tool.

Half my posts are posted when I'm either hyper or drunk. So I apologize for the grammar and spelling mistakes. I was never one to go over my typing once I am done. So if you see a "your" instead of a "you're". Your just gonna have to deal with it =/ =D =P

Coyotes renounce rights of Mitchell Miller, draft pick convicted of racist bullying

Pretty big news. Coyotes very apologetic to the affecticed boy and his family.

Details of Miller’s racist bullying of Isaiah Meyer-Crothers
Shortly after the Coyotes drafted Miller, people learned more about Miller and another individual’s heinous, racist abuse of Black classmate Isaiah Meyer-Crothers. Meyer-Crothers, also now 18, is developmentally disabled.

On Oct. 26, Arizona Republic reporters Craig Harris and Jose M. Romero shared details of Miller’s bullying acts toward Meyer-Crothers from 2016. Be warned that the cruelty is jarring:

Four years ago, Miller admitted in an Ohio juvenile court to bullying Meyer-Crothers, who was tricked into licking a candy push pop that Miller and another boy had wiped in a bathroom urinal. Meyer-Crothers had to be tested for hepatitis, HIV and STDs, but the tests came back negative, according to a police report.

Meyer-Crothers, also 18 and who now lives in Detroit, said Miller had taunted him for years, constantly calling him “brownie” and the “N-word,” while repeatedly hitting him while growing up in the Toledo suburb. Other students at their junior high confirmed to police that Miller repeatedly used the “N-word” in referring to Meyer-Crothers.

As that information spread, more information surfaced, including from The Athletic’s Aaron Portzline (sub required).

For one thing, at least 10 NHL teams removed Mitchell Miller from their draft lists, according to reporters including Portzline and TSN’s Frank Seravalli.

Good numbers. He isn't part of their long term though, is he?

He's a guy they would like to upgrade via the trade market, Giving him a 2 year deal helps in that department.

NYR, Brendan Lemieux resigned for 2 years at $1.5m AAV.

Brendan will be a player exposed to Seattle in the expansion draft.

I don't like the rumblings that some reporters were hearing that some owners think they can lose less money by not playing. I don't think it will come to that just don't like the conversation.

Owners want the players to defer 23% of their salary for this season.

After already deferring some of it. The NHL wanted a deal quickly and got one now want to change it which won't sit well with the players.
