Re: The media and the Ravens

For the national media Baltimore & Jackson is a better story. Polian said before the draft he should be a WR. Nobody was taking him in the 1st & Baltimore traded up & got him only after Mayfield, Darnold, Allen & Rosen went top 10, more than 20 spots higher. It's a better underdog story that Baltimore got the QB playing best in class this season. While the Bills winning 75% of their games is a good story, what are they supposed to say about Allen? That the Bills were right & traded up to 7 because unlike some media clowns there was a big demand for Allen among NFL GMs and the Bills really didn't have to outsmart anyone to pick him like the Ravens did with Jackson.

Why are people thinking that having it snow would be an advantage over a team that plays in BALTIMORE? They have an open stadium, don't they?

Allow me to elaborate. I live in Baltimore. I’ve been here for maybe 8 years, and I’m maybe 4 miles from the stadium as the crow flies, if that. It doesn’t snow the way it does up north. We get less than 20” a year on average, and most of it comes in one or two big storms. The rest is just what us northerners consider dustings- 2” or less. But even 2” shuts the city down.

In 8 years here, I remember ONE home game that had significant snow.

Baltimore is hitting on all cylinders atm, they deserve the press. We will as well if we knock them off.

Looking forward to this game. It's a huge measuring stick. Doesn't mean run for the bus.

Biggest challenge to date including the Patriots who we had at home as well.

Tom had no TD's that day.

    Blocked punt was the difference.

Josh had his worst game as a pro from what I remember. (Daboll on the field)

Lamar Jackson isn't going to do well running in Buffalo snow.

Thanks. I thought Baltimore had "normal" winter weather.

The bigger problem here is ice. When we do get a big snow, it'll partially melt during the day, then it'll drop below freezing at night and everything will re-freeze by morning.

But really, it's a joke how they deal with snow in Baltimore/DC. I work for a school system now, and if we get 2" they'll close the schools and put the offices on a 2 hr delay. Anything above 3" usually shuts everything down. And don't try to go to Wegmans if they even say "snow" on the weather report because everyone's afraid they're going to get snowed in for a week like it's 1942. I don't know why, because the few times we've actually gotten bad snow, we were snowed in for maybe a day.

Re: The media and the Ravens

You should see their fans. The Ravens are an unstoppable force that no team ever can beat according to them. Once teams figure out how to slow down that running game and force LJ to beat them with his arm we'll see if he's really an elite QB.

Listen I live an hour+ north of NYC and when Buffalo has snow we are 50 degrees. So Baltimore winter is nowhere near the same as Buffalo winter.

Channeling my best notacon, Greg Roman proves, again, he's not a good OC - he's on the hotseat!

Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman: Itís on Roman to make the offense more versatile. Early in Week One, it was. As the game moved toward crunch-time, Roman reverted to a Madden-style handful of bread-and-butter plays. For Baltimore, thatís usually Lamar Jackson running. The clock is already ticking on Roman. Hot-seat rating: Eight.

I would bring Roman in as run game coordinator in a second.

Run game coordinator is a fake job. Between the position coaches and OC the run game can be handle fine. Roman had his chance here and was awful. He's proving so again.

he was talking that LJ is unstoppable and they pound a few runs, a dink pass here and there and then Jackson options for the run over and over. You would think this unstoppable force was putting up 50 on everyone.

on defense they rush 5 sometimes seven relentlessly smashing QBs in the mouth...

now as well as Jackson played... and Iím not taking away anything from Harbaugh and what he and his staff have done nor brushing off Roman building an offense around Jacksonís talent but stop.

SF wasnít crushed and there is game film on how to do a good job against the offense.

the Ravenís D isnít the D with Lewis and Reed either...

the guy I heard basically says no one has a chance. I believe differently.

    Btw... I predict Ravens 50-13

(I always predict against Buffalo and ainít gonna change now.)

    Go Bills.

You don't like Baltimore huh ?
