Does this mean it is time for the penguin on top of my television to explode?

Re: Monty Python star passes away at 75

When we were kids, my dad showed us some Monty Python stuff and my brother got really into it. He got this CD ROM game they made for our 486 in the late 90’s called “Monty Python’s complete waste of time.”. It’s primitive by today’s standards but was pretty advanced for what was available at the time. It opened in a room and the user had to click things in the room- some things would be simple animations, others would be full video clips of their more popular sketches.

Once everything in a room was discovered, a new room would open up, and at the end, there was this huge complicated maze. My brother dominated the computer for weeks trying to figure out what was at the end of it. Finally, he found the end and it was epic: John Cleese’s voice came on and said “Congratulations! It’s all been a complete waste of time!” And the game restarted.

My brother was furious. The rest of the family was no longer mad about him hogging the computer cuz the payoff was worth it.

    RIP.
