Re: Trump Signs China Trade Deal

Trump said during a White House ceremony that the deal is “righting the wrongs of the past." He promoted the signing as a way of delivering economic justice for American workers and said, "We mark a sea change in international trade" with the signing.

Re: Trump Signs China Trade Deal

Haha. It's great deal for China.

Trump is the worst negotiator of all time.

This is fluff for the election. Does not address ANY of the issue America has with China.....and only sets "goals" for China buying a small amount more from the US.

    What a joke!!

Sadly, this does little for the Michigan farmers. Many expect that the repercussions were permanent. According to an article I read.

Hopefully they wise up and Michigan flips to blue this fall.

Re: Trump Signs China Trade Deal

    From the NY Times....

Trump Gets His Trade Deal, China Gets the Win
China has suffered short-term pain from the trade war, but it stands to gain in the long term.

The Trump tariffs were always stupid as ****. ALL of his stupid ideas of the world are based on ignorance, and radical right wing talk radio blowhards, and Fox Fake News.

What a ****ing disaster this jerk is.

No, it's not. The tariffs were the stupidest and monumentally terrible thing any president has ever done to farmers.

Please....take you lips off Trump's ass for one moment and come up for air.

Why do farmers across America call it a great agreement?

They don't! A lot of them may be somewhat relieved, but I've yet to see anyone calling it "great".

The hundreds of farmers who declared bankruptcy as a result of these tariffs certainly aren't.

Nor would I imagine are all the farmers who committed suicide as a result of said tariffs.

And these stupid vanity tariffs have done long term damage, as many buyers in China have already moved on to other supply chains in other countries.

But keep pulling **** out of your ass woody, seems the one thing you're any good at.

Re: Trump Signs China Trade Deal

Anyone on the Trump team want to specifically say why it's a good deal? Just curious as to what makes it a win?

It is a deal in name only.

    The tariffs are still on.

The realization hit that a real meaningful deal is not possible right now so this a face saver for Trump prior to the election.

He will, of course, lie about it while campaigning and call it the greatest deal in the history of the world.

USMCA might be the greatest when signed into law.

Re: Trump Signs China Trade Deal

    From Fareed Zakaria, Washington Post...

    Why Trump caved on China

Trump is a clown. He's the worst negotiator in the world. He is WAY OVER HIS HEAD in this job.

You gotta remember....Trump has never been answerable to anyone. Not a board...or investors...or a boss...or stockholders. He's basically been run-in a mom 'n pop shop for decades....and is mostly a monumental failure. He would not be able to hold ANY job in ANY company in the world.

Just because his father gave him about $400 million dollars, he thinks he deserves credit for being a millionaire. He's an idiot.

    The "greatest" what exactly?!?!?

NAFTA 2.0 is a minor incremental change to NAFTA, and the ONLY reason it is what it is is because Trump CAVED....100% CAVED the Democratic demands.

Trump LIED about NAFTA being so bad, and will LIE about the effect of this minor adjustment.

Certain fasteners I buy , have a 170% tariff on them.
I admire china because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime.

Much of what you say is correct.

Want to take a guess why the tariffs for instance are still on?

Is it a finished product hell no it's not.

Is there something in there that forces China to re-negotiate?

    It's a WIP.

It's only part one and supposedly they are months away from the finish still.

Not even sure what anybody else really wants or needs.

But if nothing more ever happens we'll be fine IMO.
