South Carolina Primary Saturday Feb. 29th

The primary is this saturday and it's an open primary.

That means both parties can vote.

    I predict shenanigans.
It's been Joe Biden's dream all of his life to be the democrats nominee for President of the United States of America it's just a shame he's not here to enjoy it.

With the 22nd pick Buffalo selects :

Lots of support for Bernie across party lines.

Biden this could finally mean bye bye.

    Why do they allow this?

Would anybody be shocked if Bernie rolled in around third place in this one?

    Biden will win.

The only question is by how much.

    I say between 6 and 10 points.

Biden is expected to win and always has been expected to win.

He was supposed to win by more than 20 points.

Let's see how close he comes.

He was up by 30 points plus not too long ago.

I don't know for sure but my guess is for this exact situation: the incumbent is a lock to get their party's nomination so a vote in the Republican primary doesn't mean much this year. It allows Republicans to have a meaningful vote in the Democratic primary.

FYI each individual voter is only allowed to vote in one primary- they're just allowed to choose which one. They can't vote in both in the same year.

When I lived in Virginia, I registered independent and usually just voted for the least awful candidate in whichever primary was closer. In Maryland (especially in Baltimore), the Democratic primary is usually the election , so I'm registered Democrat.

I could see as low as fifth place in this, especially if Bloomberg can buy votes like he did audience members.

And there are conservative groups out there that are encouraging Republicans to **** the Democratic party by voting for Bernie in the primary.

They are licking their chops at the possibility of a Trump-Bernie general election because they know Trump will kick his ass.

I have advocated for CLOSED primaries for decades. Having open primaries are stupid.

Biden up by 20 points .... Woodman on the money or so it appears.

If he doesn't win by over 20 points he should leave the race.

    Joe Biden making a comeback.

    So who's in trouble now?

Bernie is currently 2nd with Steyer 3rd.

Where is Bloomberg probably not qualified to be on the ballot, Warren, Klobuchar and Mayor Pete

If Biden wins by 20 it shows you that Bernie has no chance in any racially diverse state.

Which means he ain't getting the nomination.

If Bernie comes 2nd it negates anything Joe does.

Biden will take every southern state, as long as he stays in the race.
