The Dolphins’ effort to set their cap up for next week includes a restructure of left tackle Terron Armstead‘s contract.
Field Yates of ESPN reports that the team has opened up $11.876 million of cap space by restructuring the deal. Armstead had a cap number of more than $21 million before the adjustment.
Tyreek Hill's contract was just redone too.
We were about 14 million over the cap a few days ago. Now we have close to 30 million in cap space and that’s not even counting the 14 million we get from Byron Jones being a June 1st designated.

The Salary Cap is a myth.

Report- Eagles give Darius Slay permission to seek trade - ProFootballTalk

A new contract would probably be the route to making that happen. Slay is headed into the final year of his current deal with a $17 million base salary and a cap hit of just over $26.1 million.
Slay came to the Eagles in a 2020 trade with the Lions and he’s played 48 games with them over the last three seasons. He made a pair of Pro Bowls while recording 166 tackles, seven interceptions, and two forced fumbles. He returned one interception and both fumbles for touchdowns. Slay also started all four of the team’s playoff games the last two years.
