Report- Chiefs restructure Patrick Mahomes' contract - ProFootballTalk

Field Yates of ESPN reports that $12 million of Mahomes’ 2023 roster bonus was converted into a signing bonus, creating $9.6 million in cap space.
Mahomes has a $34.4 million roster bonus for this season, and he entered this week with a $49.293 million cap hit.
The Chiefs now will have more room to operate in free agency as they attempt to fill in some of their holes.
They have agreed to terms with offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor and defensive lineman Charles Omenihu. They bid farewell to defensive lineman Frank Clark and likely will see left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. depart.
Safety Juan Thornhill, receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, fullback Michael Burton, defensive tackle Khalen Saunders and offensive tackle Andrew Wylie.

Steelers cut Myles Jack - ProFootballTalk

A veteran linebacker who played his first six seasons in Jacksonville, Jack signed a two-year, $16 million contract with the Steelers a year ago. Cutting him today saves $8 million in salary cap space for the Steelers.
Jack is only 27 years old and started 13 games last season, so it’s likely that he’ll have several teams interested in his services, though likely not at $8 million a year.

Eagles replace Gardner Minshew with Marcus Mariota - ProFootballTalk

Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, Mariota has reached agreement on a one-year, $5 million deal. Incentives can push the value to $8 million.
He was the second overall pick in the draft. After five years with the Titans, he spent two with the Raiders and one with the Falcons.
Still only 29, Mariota’s skillset meshes better with starter Jalen Hurts than Minshew’s. Mariota, like Hurts, possesses the kind of mobility that allows him to run the aspects of the offense that require the quarterback to run.

Seahawks sign Devin Bush - ProFootballTalk

The Steelers made Bush the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, and he has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh. He showed flashes of the talent that made him a Top 10 pick but never quite lived up to the expectations his draft status set.
Seahawks General Manager John Schneider had identified inside linebacker as a position the Seahawks needed to improve, and Bush should help. Seahawks inside linebacker Jordyn Brooks is recovering from a torn ACL, and Cody Barton left for the Commanders in free agency.

Dallas trades for WR Brandin Cooks, Houston gets a '23 fifth and a '24 sixth. Stefon will have to suffer in Buffalo for a couple more seasons.

Also, Houston re-signed OT Laremy Tunsil, $75mil for 3 years, $50mil guaranteed. Whoa.
