Bijan Robinson- Arthur Smith will use me everywhere, receiver and running back - ProFootballTalk

The Falcons drafted running back Bijan Robinson No. 8 overall, higher than running backs usually go in today’s NFL. But Robinson says coach Arthur Smith sees him as more than a running back.
Robinson said Smith knows the best way to employ his skills, and that will include not just running back but also lining up at receiver.

Joe Douglas ponders how the Jets could have handled Zach Wilson's rookie year differently - ProFootballTalk

The Jets used the second overall pick in 2021 on quarterback Zach Wilson. They continue to hold out hope that Wilson will develop into the player that they, and many others, thought he would be.
The plan going forward is simple — Wilson learns from Aaron Rodgers, and potentially gets another chance to play, down the road.

Texans sign Shaquill Griffin - ProFootballTalk

A 2017 third-round pick of the Seahawks, Griffin played well in Seattle and signed a three-year, $44.5 million contract with the Jaguars in 2021. But he never lived up to expectations in Jacksonville and missed 12 games last season. The Jaguars cut Griffin in March.
Griffin is still just 27 years old, and if he can get healthy and stay healthy he could be a solid addition to the defense in Houston.

Dan Quinn- Micah Parsons isn't moving to full-time defensive end - ProFootballTalk

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is moving to full-time defensive end. Unless he isn’t.
Parsons has said he’s bulking up in advance of a position change. He might change his position on that, after hearing what Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn had to say.

Formal vote on Thursday night flexing is expected later this month - ProFootballTalk

In March, an official vote didn’t happen on late-season Thursday night flexing because the league didn’t have the votes, unofficially, to push it through.
It’s currently anticipated that a formal vote will happen when the owners meet in Minneapolis later this month, per a source with knowledge of the situation.

NFL's scheduling process underscores the value of quarterbacks - ProFootballTalk

The NFL is a quarterback-driven league, in many ways. And the quarterbacks need to realize it.
Quarterback is the most important player on the field, obviously. He runs the show for the offense. He makes decisions and exercises a wide range of discretion, before the play and — more critically — during the play.

Report- Absent league's desire to dump Dan Snyder, Josh Harris bid wouldn't be approved - ProFootballTalk

Josh Harris apparently is in the right place at the perfect time.
With the NFL determined to move on from Commanders owner Daniel Snyder, it appears that the owners might be willing to look beyond certain defects in the Harris offer to buy the team, in order to simply get rid of Snyder.

Will Anderson on position change- "Super excited" to do anything Texans need - ProFootballTalk

Will Anderson’s rookie season with the Texans will involve a change in positions, but it’s not one that he or head coach DeMeco Ryans thinks will be a particularly difficult one for the third overall pick.
Anderson will be playing defensive end with his hand on the ground in Houston after mostly playing as a standup outside linebacker while at Alabama. Anderson said at the team’s rookie minicamp that he’s “had that experience” at the high school level and that he’s fired up for anything the Texans throw his way.

What's next for Carson Wentz? - ProFootballTalk

Earlier today, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported that Wentz has “received interest” and “might wait longer into the offseason to see what develops.”
Per the report, the second overall pick in the 2016 draft is “open to starter or backup roles.”
While we’ve yet to encounter a single player who isn’t open to a starting role, there’s no starting role open for Wentz — barring a rash of injuries or a polio outbreak in the quarterback room.
The mere fact that the “S” word crept into a slow Sunday quid pro quota report suggests that Wentz isn’t ready to accept his football fate. Which makes him a less-than-ideal fit to be someone else’s understudy.

James Washington set to visit Saints - ProFootballTalk

Washington was a 2018 second-round pick and he spent four seasons with the Steelers before signing with the Cowboys last year. A foot injury during training camp kept him out until December and the Cowboys released him after he played in two games. He finished out the year on the Giants practice squad.
Washington didn’t catch any passes for Dallas, but had 114 catches for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns during his time in Pittsburgh.

John Fassell- Cowboys will consider "anybody else on Earth" for kicker - ProFootballTalk

The Cowboys have one kicker on the team right now, but it doesn’t sound like Tristan Vizcaino should assume he will be on the team come September.
Special teams coach John Fassell sent that message during the team’s rookie minicamp this week. Fassell mentioned veterans like Mason Crosby, Robbie Gould, and Ryan Succop as possible free agent acquisitions, but didn’t draw the line at those who have had success in the NFL in the past when discussing possible additions to the roster.

Robert Kraft- Patriots had "a great, great draft" - ProFootballTalk

Two years ago, Patriots owner Robert Kraft expressed frustration that his team hadn’t drafted well in recent years. This year, Kraft thinks the Patriots drafted very well.
Kraft said on NFL Network that he told his son, Patriots President Jonathan Kraft, that he’s very excited about where the team is heading after the players they added in the 2023 NFL draft.

Frank Reich- Andy Dalton will be with first team, but Bryce Young will likely get more reps - ProFootballTalk

First overall pick Bryce Young’s first practice work with the Panthers came at their rookie minicamp over the weekend and he was the No. 1 quarterback on the field for that work.
That will not be the case the next time that Young hits the practice field, however. Head coach Frank Reich said this weekend that Andy Dalton will remain the No. 1 quarterback when the full squad works together, although he noted that the plan is for the rookie to wind up taking more reps than the veteran over the course of the team’s workouts.
