J.C. Jackson looking forward to "revenge game" against Patriots - ProFootballTalk

Chargers cornerback J.C. Jackson has one game circled on this year’s schedule.
The Chargers will be in Foxborough to face the Patriots in Week 13 and that will provide Jackson with his first chance to face his former team since leaving as a free agent in 2022. During a recent appearance on NFL Network, Jackson sounded like he still has some hard feelings about his departure from New England.

Cardinals sign Matt Haack - ProFootballTalk

Haack participated in the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis and did enough to earn a contract with the club.
He was with Indianapolis last year after Buffalo cut him in favor of then-rookie Matt Ariza. Hack punted 70 times for the Colts in 2022, averaging 44.8 yards with a net average of 40.2 yards. He dropped 28 of his punts inside the 20 with three touchbacks.

Quinnen Williams scrubs Jets from his Twitter page - ProFootballTalk

Social media has become a tool for sending messages. And Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams has sent a pointed one to his current team.

Williams has removed any reference to the Jets from his Twitter page. After the title “Defensive Tackle for,” there is now a stream of periods.

The move comes at a time when Williams is boycotting voluntary offseason workouts as he tries to get a new deal. Recent reports have suggested that a major gap remains between the parties’ positions.

The defensive tackle market currently has Aaron Donald of the Rams far and away above the others, at $31.667 million annually. More than $8 million per year below Donald is Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, at $23.5 million. Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne and Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence are next, at $22.5 million.

Joe Burrow on contract extension- That's in the works - ProFootballTalk

Cincinnati picked up Burrow’s fifth-year option — a move that was more of a formality than anything else given the quarterback’s performance over his first three seasons. But in a statement announcing the move, the team also noted that it was working with Burrow and his representation to secure the quarterback’s “long-term future as a Bengal.”

Jason Kelce- Eagles lost "smartest player I've ever been around" when Steelers signed Isaac Seumalo - ProFootballTalk

“I think he’s one of the best guards in the NFL, and I think he has been,” Kelce said, via NFL.com. “I think he’s one of the most consistent players I’ve ever been around, one of the most consistent people I’ve ever been around. So we’re not going to replace Isaac, there’s going to be someone new in there, and they’re going to have their attributes that they’re going to excel with, and I’m looking forward to seeing who does a really good job with that.”
Kelce said Seumalo’s approach to the game is something that perhaps only someone who has been next to him on the line of scrimmage for years can understand.

Cowboys would be wise to pay Micah Parsons as soon as they can - ProFootballTalk

With quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys played the waiting game — and lost. With Micah Parsons, they should not delay.
Parsons, regardless of whether he’s a linebacker or a defensive end, is arguably the best defensive player in football. He becomes eligible for a new contract immediately after the 2023 regular season ends. That’s when the Cowboys should make him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history.

Lions center Frank Ragnow optimistic about his health after "brutal" foot injury - ProFootballTalk

Lions center Frank Ragnow has suffered the same injury to his left foot in each of the last two seasons, but he’s optimistic that the worst is behind him.
“Coming along,” Ragnow said, via MLive.com. “We’re good. We’re being smart with it though. We’re not rushing and making sure I get enough rest, because last season was one to forget in terms of that. It was brutal. So, just trying to be smart with it.”

Patriots pass rusher Josh Uche not getting 'big-headed' after breakout year- 'It’s not like I just figured it out. It’s a continuous process'

Patriots linebacker Josh Uche's season was not, however. Nonetheless, Uche is not resting upon his individual success from a season ago, but looking to build upon it.

"Last year is last year. Can't cash in on much from last year," Uche said Thursday,
via Masslive.com’s Chris Mason. "It's a new season. Just focusing on the next opponent, just improving. It's a new season. New plays need to be made, new steps need to be taken. Just trying to forget last year, just build and become the best football player I can be."

Though the 24-year-old might want to walk back his thoughts on cashing in on his 2022 campaign as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal, Uche's staying grounded and has no call for a larger helmet size after a breakout showing.
