BUFFALO was also active signing veteran free agents from other teams: quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (Bears), wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (Saints) and Brandon Powell (Falcons), tight end Jake Hollister (Seahawks), running back Matt Breida (Dolphins), offensive tackles Bobby Hart (Bengals) and Jamil Douglas (Titans), guard Forrest Lamp (Chargers), defensive end Efe Obada (Panthers), linebackers Tyrell Adams (Texans) and Marquel Lee (Raiders) and punter Matt Haack (Dolphins).

The Billsí current roster consists of four quarterbacks, five tight ends, six running backs, 10 wide receivers, 12 offensive linemen, four safeties, six defensive tackles (including Star Lotulelei, who opted out of last season due to Covid concerns), six cornerbacks, seven defensive ends, eight linebackers and three specialists.

But Walker was a Pro Bowler for three straight years from 2015 to 2017, so there’s likely some team willing to give him a shot and see if he can earn a roster spot.

The Raiders signed one of their exclusive rights free agents on Tuesday when they agreed to a deal with defensive lineman Kendal Vickers and they moved on to an impending restricted free agent on Wednesday.
Agent Paul Sheehy announced that his client Trent Sieg has signed a three-year extension with the team. He did not announce any other terms of the long snapper’s deal.

The Bears announced that five exclusive rights free agents have re-signed with the team.
Offensive lineman Alex Bars, inside linebacker Josh Woods, outside linebacker James Vaughters, running back Ryan Nall, and tight end J.P. Holtz make up the group. Exclusive rights free agents are limited to signing with their original team as long as the club tenders them a contract.

    Bengals release B.J. Finney

The Bengals have made a move to create cap space, releasing offensive lineman B.J. Finney.
Cincinnati acquired Finney in the midseason trade that sent defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap to Seattle. Finney had signed a two-year deal with the Seahawks last offseason.

The move will create over $6.1 million in cap space and leave $6 million in dead money on the cap.

    Re: NFL Free Agency/Other Transactions

It works like this: One team picks the spot of the ball to start overtime, and the other team chooses whether to play offense or defense.
If the one team picks, for example, the offense’s own 20 yard line, the opponent would then choose whether to play offense from their own 20 or to play defense, with the other team having the ball on its own 20. This would minimize greatly the impact of the coin toss; under this proposal, the coin toss would be used only to give the team that wins the toss the right to pick the spot of the ball (along with the end zone to be defended) or to choose offense or defense.
Under one of the two proposals to be made by the Ravens, overtime would proceed in sudden-death fashion, with the first score by either team ending the game and up to 10 minutes of extra time. (If the game remains tied at that point, the game’s outcome would be a tie.) Under the other proposal (favored, we’re told, by Patriots coach Bill Belichick), the game would continue for another seven minutes and 30 seconds, without a sudden-death component. Whoever leads after the extra time has ended would be the winner. (Again, if the game remains tied after the extra session, the game’s outcome would be a tie.)

A criminal investigation into allegations agains Broncos linebacker Von Miller will not result in any charges against him.
Police in Parker, Colorado turned the results of their investigation over to the District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District last month for a decision about how to proceed with the case. According to multiple reports, they have decided not to file any charges. The nature of the allegations against Miller were not disclosed.
