Trevor Lawrence throwing again after left shoulder surgery

Presumptive No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence underwent surgery on his non-throwing shoulder earlier this offseason to be fully healed by training camp.
    That plan remains on schedule.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Lawrence has been throwing over the last two weeks. While he's not 100 percent yet, his workouts are starting to look and feel normal again, per sources informed of the situation.
Rapoport added that all signs are good as Lawrence's rehab is going well.
Lawrence underwent surgery on Feb. 16 to fix an issue he'd dealt with the past several years at Clemson.
While around 150 of his draft classmates are in Indianapolis on Thursday getting in-person medical checkups, Lawrence won't be joining the crew.
BUFFALO was also active signing veteran free agents from other teams: quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (Bears), wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (Saints) and Brandon Powell (Falcons), tight end Jake Hollister (Seahawks), running back Matt Breida (Dolphins), offensive tackles Bobby Hart (Bengals) and Jamil Douglas (Titans), guard Forrest Lamp (Chargers), defensive end Efe Obada (Panthers), linebackers Tyrell Adams (Texans) and Marquel Lee (Raiders) and punter Matt Haack (Dolphins).

The Billsí current roster consists of four quarterbacks, five tight ends, six running backs, 10 wide receivers, 12 offensive linemen, four safeties, six defensive tackles (including Star Lotulelei, who opted out of last season due to Covid concerns), six cornerbacks, seven defensive ends, eight linebackers and three specialists.

Chiefs WR Robinson eyes 1,000 receiving yards, 10 TDs

For the balance of his NFL career, Demarcus Robinson has been a role player in the Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver room. The 26-year-old is ready to put more on his plate in 2021.

Joining NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Thursday, Robinson said he expects a more prominent role this season withSammy Watkins no longer in K.C.

"Every other season, it's (been) four, five touchdowns, 500 yards," Robinson said of his previous production. "I just think it picks up a little bit more right now. I'm looking for the opportunity -- not for them to give me the opportunity -- but go in there and take the opportunity. Go in there and show that I am a guy who can put up 1,000 yards a year and 10 touchdowns. I'm ready to make that happen. They said they've got something in store for me. I'm ready to show them."

Robinson re-signed in Kansas City this offseason to another one-year contract. He'll rejoin a WR room with Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle.

The former fourth-round pick said he had another offer from the Detroit Lions that could have brought a bigger role in a WR corps that saw Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones leave in free agency. He chose to return to K.C. because he felt like there was an opportunity for increased production with Patrick Mahomes.

"I chose the Chiefs because of my family, the culture, just talking with everybody, seeing what would best fit me," he noted. "I had another team, it was Detroit, that was also looking at me. And the Chiefs just wanted me more at the time."

Jones- Dolphins 'expect a big jump' from Tua Tagovailoa

With the FitzMagic backstop gone from Miami, the Dolphins are now clearly Tua Tagovailoa's team in 2021.

After an up-and-down rookie campaign, outside questions swirled around Tua this offseason, with critics wondering if the Fins could quickly move on from the young signal-caller. We've heard no such concerns from those inside Miami's building. From coach Brian Flores to GM Chris Grier to teammates -- both current and former -- every answer about Tagovailoa has been positive.

With Ryan Fitzpatrick signing in Washington this offseason, and Jacoby Brissett brought in as the new backup, the Dolphins are set to ride the Tua wave.

Star corner Byron Jones joined NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Thursday and said the Dolphins expect a big leap from the young QB in Year 2.

"It's exciting. This team is comprised of a bunch of young guys," Jones said of Tagovailoa. "Obviously, he's going into his second year. What we saw last year was great from him but we expect a big jump. The kid's been working, I know he's been working. He's been a great kid. Really good head on his shoulders. And that's the beauty of it. We're surrounded by a bunch of good guys who want to be great again. So I'm looking forward to seeing his jump. His contributions to the team have been great so far, but we're looking for even something better this year. It's exciting. I can't wait to see him work his magic."

The No. 5 overall pick in 2020, Tua started nine games, completing 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards and 11 TDs to five INTs. After an impressive win over Arizona in Week 9, Tagovailoa struggled much of the rest of the year, looking reticent to throw into tight windows. He was benched in favor of FitzMagic twice late in games.

Caleb Farley- Draft a corner over me, I’ll try to do you like Randy Moss

NFL teams likely have questions about cornerback Caleb Farley after he opted out of playing for Virginia Tech last year and had back surgery last month, but they probably aren’t wondering about his confidence.
Farley said last month that he expects to be one of the top cornerbacks in the league and he showed similar bravado in an interview with Chris Simms this week. Farley said teams should know his back injury is “little risk for a huge reward” and that they should think twice before selecting Patrick Surtain II, Jaycee Horn, or any other cornerback ahead of him.

William Jackson III- It was a “no-brainer” to come play for Ron Rivera

Cornerback William Jackson III has made it clear that one of his primary objectives in free agency was getting out of Cincinnati. But there were other motivations at play for his destination.
Jackson signed a three-year, $42 million deal with $26 million guaranteed with Washington last month. And during an appearance on the Washington Football Talk podcast, Jackson said he chose the reigning NFC East champions in large part because Ron Rivera is the club’s head coach.

Giants announce three additions to coaching staff

Word earlier this week was that the Giants hired former LSU analyst Russ Callaway as an offensive assistant and the team confirmed the news on Thursday.
The Giants announced Callaway’s arrival and that his official title will be offensive quality control coach. The team also announced a couple of other additions to Joe Judge’s staff.

After opting out in 2020, C.J. Mosley gets his vaccine and urges everyone to do so

Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley was one of the highest-profile players to opt out of the 2020 NFL season, deciding that he didn’t want to play football during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today he took a big step toward getting back on the field safely.
Mosley posted on Instagram that he has been vaccinated and urges everyone else to get vaccinated as well. “Let’s get back to normal, let’s be happy, let’s feel the love from our family and friends,” Mosley wrote. “LETS GET VACCINATED! ps if you got time throw in a football joke, you have enough time to type in your info to register to get vaccinated.”
Mosley appears to be getting ready to play the 2021 season, as he liked multiple fans’ comments about him returning to the field.
The Jets have reportedly had trade discussions surrounding Mosley, who has played in just two games since signing a five-year, $85 million contract with the Jets in 2019.

Report- “Doubtful” Julian Edelman will be able to play entire 2021 season

The Patriots have brought in a slew of new players this offseason and this month’s draft will introduce more fresh faces to the mix, but there are some holdovers from the old days still on hand.
Wide receiver Julian Edelman is part of that group, but word in February was that he was unsure his knee will be well enough for him to play in 2021. Edelman played six games last year before having surgery to alleviate swelling in his knee and never returned to the lineup.
According to a report from Karen Guregian of theBoston Herald, Edelman feeling well enough to play one game won’t necessarily mean that he’ll be well enough for the long haul. Guregian reports that the chronic nature of Edelman’s injury makes it “doubtful” that he would be able to play an entire season.
