I don't think Milano is over-rated. Mostly because I don't think people think he's great. He's an excellent coverage backer but his size makes him a liability against the run and most people realize that. Finding a guy who is good at both is very hard.

    DT Ed Oliver

Being drafted in the top ten comes with certain expectations, and Oliverís rookie season didnít necessarily match that pedigree. The rookie ended up struggling with the technical aspects of the game, which not only limited his impact but also led him to cede snaps to Jordan Phillips. Sure, Oliverís five sacks were impressive, but he didnít create many splash plays and at times was barely noticeable on the field. Thatís not what you want out of a player selected ninth overall.

    LB Matt Milano

Last year around this time, Milano was criticized by yours truly for his inability to finish a season healthy. In 2019, Milano proved that he could play a full season and avoid the trainerís table. So why is he still on the list? Because of his weakness against the run. Buffaloís defense still struggles with stopping the run, ranking 14th in yards per rush attempt. Milano bears some responsibility in that middle-of-the-road ranking, as he still struggles in taking on and shedding blocks at the point of attack. For all his coverage prowess, the linebacker still isnít a complete defender and the teamís defense is suffering for it.
This is right. But Josh Allen is, far and away, the most over-valued player by Bills fans. I was a bit surprised Milano ever stuck in the first place. Plays in spurts? Eh, he is opportunistic and does make some decent plays in pursuit. He's fragile. Oliver has yet to live up to his draft status. Mitch Morse is also over-valued. That said, I like each of these players and have hope they kick it up a notch.

The roster is pretty solid however, since the over-rated question is being asked.

    Safeties - Check
CB - White is a check
    MLB - Check
    D-line - Check
o-line - improved, waiting to see
    WR - check
    RB - check

    Not a lot of holes.

Not even close to how bad Adam Schien sucks. But, to each his own.

I would disagree with the coverage comment, he's average at best. Seems like he is consistently trailing behind the receiver after the ball is caught.

I agree. He does makes some good plays, now and again. He's good in pursuit, but not always at the point of attack. He can get bowled over in the run game.

How exactly is the OL improved? They added some depth that was pretty much equivalent to what we already had. No one who can upgrade the starters.

They have a year of playing together under their belt.

    Morse is again healthy.

They added Daryl Williams. When healthy can start at guard or tackle and play at a high level.

Cody Ford now has a year under his belt.

It doesn't have to be a lot, but it didn't go backwards. We're Bills fans. So the stability in a line that is, typically, ever-changing is a good thing.

Yup. None of the above is magic. The wild card is Daryl Williams. If they can get even decent RT play out of him, much less play approaching his 2017 season, the OL will be much-improved.

Op probably has like 30 ex wife's because theyll get in a disagreement and hes like "shes not going to just magically get better"

Op has some of the dumbest logic ever. 5 young talented OL with depth that would start on some teams wont get better

I dont think Op watches the games. Allen had a bunch of plays last year where he would literally stand there for 4 seconds with no one close to him. Half of singeltarys highlights were him not getting touched until the second level. I cant remember a single drive stalling out because the line was getting manhandled
Please excuse my dumb and pointless topics and posts, i more than likely will not be sober for any of them

No, what's going on is that the Bills improved their offense where they were deficient (WR and RB) with FA or draft picks. So all OP has left is to harp on the one unit that didn't add anyone, outside of Daryl Williams, who has a good chance to be a steal. All the talk of "magic" is to deflect from the fact that the unit will improve from continuity and improvement by younger players.

Yes. Not only that but there are actually nfl teams who will go out of their way to keep their OL in tact even if they arent the best because they know that lineman work better with continuity.

Primarily the Guards and centers on teams are always kept together. Then the tackles are usually the WE NEED TALENT guys

We have 2 second rounders at tackle.

    Also..

    Nseke, Bates, Boem, Long, Williams

Even our backups wouldnt be the worst offensive line group in the nfl. Thats whats ****ing crazy. And no one disputes that our starters are better then these guys!

    Wondering the same thing.
The line has definitely improved and will continue on that path I have no doubt.
