Earlier in the season Mahomes threw for 225 and 2 TD. It was their RB that killed us, which McDermott admitted was by design that they played soft against the run to limit big plays.

It almost worked we lost 26-17.

Our defense wasn’t near as good then and our offense wasn’t clicking as much as now.

This should be a great game that will come down to who’s D plays better and Buffalo has an edge there so long as we contain Chris Jones.

Speaking of rituals, my wife and daughter used to be away from me while the games are on, every single and regular game I'm all excited, even mad if we are not winning with a certain amount of points difference. Some times I was like not wanting/willing to use certain tshirts, jerseys, underwear, etc. just to not jinxed our beloved team. This year I said, **** it.

Now she is watching the games by herself (as she is not living with us anymore), and my wife if not busy, sitting next to me and enjoying my beers and getting all that excited with my excitment.

My point is, the outcome of the games only depend on the team/coordinators/players preparation and desire to win games, not about our mood nor our bad habits. As they have proved us the last three seasons, specially this one.

Holding the number 1 rushing offense to 150 isnt the same defense that was on the field week 6. The team ripped off 12 on a row without a Hail Mary.

It’s not being a defeatist to realize:

1. They already shredded us once this season
2. We struggle stopping the run and they both run and pass well.
3. They’re playing at an extremely high level whereas our O has cooled off a little in the playoffs
4. The game is in Arrowhead which is an extremely difficult place to get a win, even with a reduced crowd.

It is what it is and it doesn’t favor us.

1. they're not playing the same bills team. You used to say that about the titans from last season when we beat them early in the season. Same thing applies to bills. They got us at the right time when we were still making adjustments.
2.they said that about the ravens who had the no.1 rush offense and they scored 3 points.

They had 438 yards of offense, over 300 in the air and over 100 on the ground. And their star QB didn’t even finish the game.

I see and appreciate your points but (1) it’s a week to week game; they schemed well for Baltimore who everyone expected to ‘shred’ us; (2) Bills played a specific way and it backfired—they’ll adjust; also they were missing or just getting back some key pieces the first time; (3) They actually had not been playing at as a high a level as the Bills over the last month of the season; (4) Not sure about the stadium—it’s making less difference this year. All that said, I do not think it is defeatist to have a healthy skepticism.

Yeah, I saw them hold Tyreek Hill to a pittance and Kelce to half his normal production catch/yardage-wise. If you think the defense Cleveland employed yesterday was anything similar to what Buffalo did in the first KC game, I would suggest you watch the games again...because it wasn't.

Buffalo's only loss since KC is a hail mary anomaly and the defense has been playing up to 2019 form...those are legit reasons to think differently. For most of us.

But you keep hanging on to that last thread of 'reality' until you can take satisfaction in being 'right'.
