Does our offensive play calling choke in the playoffs?

I'm not calling anyone out or blaming anyone just asking a question that keeps coming to mind. In all our playoff games we struggle to dominate on offense and win big. We have trouble scoring. Yeah I know its the playoffs. But is that on Allen, or is it the play calling that seems to choke and stiffen up and play afraid? I'm thinking maybe Daboll get's a little to tight fisted rather than Josh. What do you think?

I dont understand either when we were blowing out teams with top defenses in fins , pats and pitts.
Playoffs is a different beast but were just doing enough. We need more than that these next 2 games.

I think the opp D were more powerful during the playoffs. Look at Bills D, they were also very good for the most part in the last 2 playoff games. It a "do or die", unlike regular season where the attitude is "there is always next week for improvements"

IMO a bigger issue against the Ravens was Allen trying to go to the deep 'well' too often in that wind, instead of taking the shorter/intermediate options. Something he had to learn, that even a cannon arm like his can't overcome swirling winds on long balls you toss up into the wind's mercy.

And yes, defense is a little bit different in the playoffs. Not just Indy's and Baltimore's against us, but ours against the Ravens.

I got mad and crazy about what our O showed last game, but you are right, young and confident Qb plus crazy winds, hopefully it gets better and show them first, then to the rest of the world, who we/they are, what we/they really want.

The Ravens D was the best in the league in terms of scoring Defense. Also, I think Daboll and Allen and co were distracted by the interview process. I think that now that that is gone that we could see an eruption of points again. Also, if there is one thing you can do against the Chiefs with a healthy Josh Allen its scoring a lot of points.

The wind kept the Ravens in the game.

We almost exclusively attacked by air.

They with that vaunted running game did what they do.

The wind if anything aided their effort and ran havoc on us.

And yes their defense is by far superior to that of the Chiefs.

I think at least a portion of that belongs to Josh, or “Sugar high Josh”, as Kyle Brandt refers to him. I think he gets a little to excited or amped up and he doesn’t play as well as he can. It comes with experience, let’s just hope he’s a really quick learner.

Both games had **** weather. Wind last week, slushy snow and wind against the colts. So our pass game was partially reduced just by that.

And both defenses were very good and well coached.

The Chiefs defense will be the worst D we've faced since the Raiders. I expect fireworks.

Played the 2 best Defenses in the playoffs in the AFC going in and beat them both. Might put up a few more points Sunday. We shall see....

I predict that if Josh is on his game, it won’t matter what Mahomes, Hill, and Kelsey do...we’ll win. Our defense is better than there’s and I think we have the advantage on special teams as well.
