On Sunday, two of the best quarterbacks of all time will meet in Green Bay. Then, two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL will meet in Kansas City.

Most would say that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes currently is the best in the game. Some who know the game and who study it carefully are wondering whether Bills quarterback Josh Allen has caught up with Mahomes.

100%. I’ll say he’s narrowed gap. But still a large gap. I don’t get the feeling if we are down 21-0 Allen can make the comeback or at least do his part of continuing scoring.

I feel just the opposite. Allen can do anything Mahomes can do IMO.

It was a long time coming. Almost like the football gods made us wait over two decades to find a franchise QB on purpose. So when it did happen it would be someone unique and special.

It helps that there will be 16k fans instead of 76k. But it's still a road game which is advantage Chiefs. Tyreek Hill is as good as Diggs. And they have another superstar in Travis Kelsey. So the Chiefs have more weapons and they're at home. That's advantage Mahomes. And Mahomes has played in more big games. So you have to factor that all in when you compare QB's. The Bills have to play loose to win this game. Josh Allen needs to be calm. I think we have a good chance. But Mahomes does have the edge.

Allen, after the loss of his grandma seemed to gain the ability to play the game deviod of emotion. I think in this way, among others, she watches over him on the playing field in my humble opinion.

Its a team sport and in that regard K C has a slight edge sighting Kelce as the main reason for it IMO.

Buffalo's TE position could use an upgrade.

Long term, maybe even short term ( as you say ) I think Allen will eventually be considered nationally in the same upper echelon as Mahomes.

Myself personally, fan of Mahomes ( little less now) With that being said, wouldn't trade Allen for the world.

The main question with Josh Allen right now is sample size. He's doing crazy good things, but he only has one season where he's done it at this level. Among those who have not yet jumped on the band wagon, I think sample size is what most would cite. The only other thing is that Allen will still make a bonehead play here and there, but then I've seen Mahomes make a bonehead play or two this season too.

He's not there yet. I do think he's got the highest ceiling of any QB, and that includes Mahommes. But Josh isnt there yet.

There is no doubt that Josh Allen has "caught" Mahomes in his ability and quality of QB'ing.

He still has to win a Super Bowl....and I suspect that he will win more than one....to be considered a true superstar.

There is only one QB left in the playoffs that has not won a Super Bowl. It is an achievement Josh must fulfill and I believe will.
