Last night he proved, convincingly so, that he deserves to be playing in the NFL.
I think he is safe. A nice back up. He earned his spot on the team.
playing against 4th string players and others who won't make the cut?
I think we keep 4 RBs for now: TH, Sammy M., Burns and Gary. Plus SG and Crosby at FB.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
But who gets cut when mcgahee comes back
Some team will need Gary by then.
Yeah, like Detroit . . .
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.
Hello, Matt Millen please .... Hi, Matt, it's TD. I know we just broke your running back. Wanna trade for one of ours?Originally posted by Throne Logic

Gary will be good trade fodder for later.
I don't want just some 3rd round pick. If Detroit wanted Gary, I'd ask for a 1st rounder. Detroit's could very well have the #1 overall pick next year.
And his mudder's pretty tough, too
Edwards is better. :)
I always thought Gary was the worst of the three Denver 1000 yard backs for that era (Davis, Gary, Anderson) but the one I liked the most, the toughest I guess. He'll be decent, but compared to most starters, he is a backup. I've heard he really hasn't impressed up to this game. Maybe because the Bronco O-Line was so good that any RB could get 1000? Maybe, but if your line is as good as you guy say, then I guess he could too.
Think about this though. Ricky got 1850 yards with a much less superior line. Henry got 1550 with a good one. Who's really better?
So thats why Coy Wire hit him that hard?Originally posted by yledust

No, Coy was doing a favor for another ex Bill, Shawn Bryson.
Did Gary outperform Joe Burns, who is cheaper than Gary? If Buffalo keeps 4 RBs Gary is safe, but I'm not sure they'll keep 4. You're smoking something, Mr. Miyagi, if you think a team would actually give up a first round pick for Gary, especially a high round one pick. A third is about the best we could hope to get. I'd pull a trigger on a trade like that
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
There is no guarentee Willis will be able to contribute less than one year from injury. Even if he is activated in wk 9 that will be less than a year from fiesta bowl. He's great but human.
